Last year the consensus among Sox fans was Dunn was "back" and finally lived up to his 14 million salary with his .204 batting average and .333 OBP. So, I figured we can have a little fun tracking Dunn's march to .210 with a nifty little meter:

While the meter's range is a bit optimistic as we all know there is like a 2% chance he'll sniff .250, I gave it a wide range given the volatility/small sample of early baseball. I'll likely minimize the band to .175 - .220 once we get a little deeper into season.

Should be a fun year as Sox fans get to see Dunn's march to .210!

Let's hope he sets a new MLB record tomorrow for Opening Day home runs.

Kirkwood, what is your feeling on sabr/advanced stats?

If Dunn doesn't hit .325 and steal 20 bases, his season will be another waste.

I like advanced stats. They paint a more accurate picture of a player's contribution than traditional statistics.

I, for one, cannot believe Dunn had a game where he went 0fer with 2K's! Send him down to Charlotte.
