Sox sweep.

In recent years, the White Sox have done very well in Interleague play. They avoid Stephen Strasburg in this series at Nationals Park, but it'll be interesting to see how different RV's lineup looks without the DH. I still cringe at the sight of Adam Dunn in LF, but that might be the plan in this 3 game series.

Do you just leave him on the bench then?

Well, someone will be benched. To my knowledge, the NL still doesn't use the DH...yet.

I take my chances with his bad play in the field to have his bat in the lineup.

I'd rather have Viciedo's bat and glove in the lineup. It's not like we're talking about some piece of garbage 8 hitter in left field.

Adam Dunn's position is first base. It won't be Paul Konerko much longer.

SHARK

You're contradicting yourself. You are asking if Swamp Donkey will be filling a spot in left field with no DH, and now you're talking about him playing first.

If anything, Konerko will sit 1 game to give him a break and make sure Dunn gets at bats. If the intention is that Konerko, Dunn, and Viciedo each play 2 games so no one gets stale, I could see that happening, but Dunn will not start over Konerko and Viciedo in all three games.

In fact, I guarantee Dunn will not start tonight with the lefty on the mound for Washington.

SJ, it's a subject that always comes up whenever an AL team goes to the NL park. The lineup is going to look somewhat different minus the DH. I've gotta think Dunn or Viciedo sits...at least to start the ballgame.

SHARK, you also keep inferring that Konerko is not the everyday first baseman on this team.

Konerko actually still IS the #1 guy at first base for this club. He's out there almost daily at first, and he is listed that way on the depth chart on whitesox.com. Quit saying that Dunn is the full time 1B for the Sox. That is flat out wrong.

1. De Aza CF
2. Keppinger 3B
3. Rios RF
4. Konerko 1B
5. Viciedo LF
6. Ramirez SS
7. Flowers C
8. Beckham 2B
9. Peavy P

Jose Quintana starts the Cleveland series this weekend. Strictly a matchup reason.

Does this interaction with SHARK make Boyd a "bully" as well?

I don't think it matters if Konerko or Dunn play 1B to start the game. If the White Sox are in position to win tonight in Washington, there will be a Conor Gillaspie sighting in the late innings.

Jose Quintana, Chris Sale & tonight's starter Jake Peavy toe the rubber in Cleveland this weekend.
