The Sox should really knock around Fausto Carmona on Friday. He has a career ERA of 5.48 against the Sox.

That said, because I'll be there along with Boyd and Doug, they will probably lose 8-2.

Matt Moore is having a great year.

Must be that the Rays handled him correctly with inning limits

The Rays will feel right at home this weekend at U.S. Cellular Field. Lots of great seats available, especially tonight & tomorrow.

Speaking of the Rays, their longtime TV voice on SUN Sports/FOX Sports Florida is ex-Cubs' voice Dewayne Staats. During a broadcast of theirs, Staats mentioned the number 5. He said during a broadcast that if your team averages 5 runs a night in the American League, that's good enough to win. Right now, I'm not sure the White Sox are good enough to score that many runs a night the way they're scuffling at the plate.

SHARK, the Rays play in a climate controlled dome. The Cell will have wind all weekend with tonite and tomorrow being probably at least 15-20 degrees cooler than what the Rays are used to.

They will not feel right at home regardless of how good or bad the attendance may be.

Frank, the Rays don't draw at Tropicana Field either. I remember the year they went to the World Series in 2008, national sports talk radio hosts made a big stink about the Rays' inability to draw, much like the White Sox the year they won it all in 2005.

Their lease will say otherwise, but the Rays need a new ballpark down there and there's been talk they might move if they don't get a new ballpark of their own in the next few years.

SHARK, none of that matters. The Rays will NOT feel at home because they have to play this weekend's games outside, with much cooler weather tonite and tomorrow.

Case closed.

They ARE going to feel at home this weekend, Frank. Pretty soon, 3B Evan Longoria, 2B/OF Ben Zobrist & Sunday's starting pitcher David Price will be available...if the price is right. The Rays won't be available to keep them much longer. Book it.

SHARK speaks the truth about the Tampa Bay Rays. There have been rumblings that David Price might not be a Ray much longer, and Rays' Principal Owner Stu Sternberg offered quite a suggestion last week during a chat with WFAN's Mike Francesa in hopes of staying competitive:

I'm trying to distance myself from this behavior in the event that certain vertically-challenged-monikered posters grab their torches and gather the mob for me.

You do not speak truth SHARK.

You speak opinion.

The Tampa Bay Rays play in a climate controlled dome. The next four games will be played temperatures lower than that of Tropicana Field.

Yes, I do. The Rays don't draw at Tropicana Field. The White Sox don't draw at U.S. Cellular Field. Weather has nothing to do with why fans continue to stay away in droves for both teams.

That being said, the Rays have the better roster than the Sox. I think Tampa overcomes the chilly temperatures to take 3 out of 4.

No one said it did SHARK.

Your belief that empty stadiums equate to comfort for opposing teams is silly.

Well, why have the Rays been in the playoff hunt the last several years but can't draw flies to a ballpark that could've easily been the White Sox home in St. Petersburg had it not been for ex-Gov. Jim Thompson & Illinois Lawmakers down in Springfield some 25 years ago?

SHARK, you said that the Rays will feel right at home this weekend. I pointed out that you were wrong because this weekend's games will be played outdoors. You are wrong about that.

You are correct in pointing out how the Rays do not have very good attendance.

The Rays not keeping Zobrist, Longoria, and Price is simply your opinion. I will "book" nothing.

Oh yeah? Well, why are the Cubs supposedly interested in David Price as soon as this summer?

Because the Cubs are bad and need pitching? I really don't know.

Still just opinion SHARK. Thats ok. I don't really disagree with you, but I'm not going to "book it" that all 3 of those guys will be gone from the Rays soon.

Because he's a good pitcher.

What does any of this have to do with the Rays' comfort this weekend?

Frank, it might not happen right away, but the Rays have lost quite a few players in recent years because they couldn't afford to keep them. Cases in point...Reliever Rafael Soriano is now in Washington, OF Carl Crawford is now with the Dodgers & P James Shields got dealt to Kansas City in the offseason.
