From the frying pan into the fire...After dealing with Rays' lefties Matt Moore & David Price over the weekend, the White Sox will get to know "Yu" tonight as they start their latest road trip at the Ballpark in Arlington, TX. I'm referring to hard throwing righty Yu Darvish, who toes the rubber for the Rangers this eve in the first of 3 with the Sox and the start of an 8 game road trip. The Sox head to Kansas City this weekend for 3 and visit the All-Star city of Queens, NY for a pair with the Mets before coming home next weekend to host the Angels.

It's believed 2B Jeff Keppinger will be back in the lineup after missing the last 3 games with back spasms, while it's unclear yet who will replace CF Blake Tekotte on the 25-man roster. Tekotte was optioned to Triple "A" Charlotte after Sunday's 8-3 White Sox loss to the Rays, and there's been speculation the Sox might add an 8th reliever before tonight's game. That might have changed after the Sox acquired OF Casper Wells from the A's early this morning for cash considerations. Wells was DFA'd by Oakland Sunday and the White Sox will be Casper's 4th team already this season.

As for the mound matchups:

TONIGHT 7:05P: Comcast SportsNet Plus, 670 The SCORE/White Sox Radio Network
CHW: 62 Jose Quintana (LHP; 2-0, 2.78 ERA) vs. TEX: 11 Yu Darvish (RHP; 4-1, 1.65 ERA)

WEDNESDAY 7:05P: WCIU 26 The U (WGN Sports on The U), 670 The SCORE/White Sox Radio Network
CHW: 49 Chris Sale (LHP; 2-2, 4.09 ERA) vs. TEX: 49 Nick Tepesch (RHP; 2-1, 2.53 ERA)

THURSDAY 7:05P: CSNC Plus, 670 The SCORE/White Sox Radio Network
CHW: 44 Jake Peavy (RHP; 3-1, 3.38 ERA) vs. TEX: 51 Justin Grimm (RHP; 2-0, 1.59 ERA)

Sox win 1

It doesn't matter.

What are the chances that Ron Washington tries to snort the lines at The House that the Artist Formerly Known as George W. Bush Built's The Ballpark At Arlington?

????

The Rangers can mash the ball. They're not as offensively challenged as the White Sox. The bleeding continues.

Ron Washington likes coke. Not Coke, but coke. He doesn't have Josh Hamilton there anymore to drink with. George W. Bush was the owner that got The Ballpark at Arlington built. That is the stadium that the Dennis Quaid looking Jim Morris made his major league debut at the age of 35 while pitching for the Tampa Bay (former Devil) Rays. His life story was made into the film The Rookie. It was produced by Walt (Williams Neck) Disney Pictures, which now owns the rights to the Marvel franchise. Iron Man 3 comes out later this week.

Okay. "Iron Man 3" hits theaters Friday. The Rangers don't have Josh Hamilton anymore, but they're still winning. Hamilton's new team the Anaheim Angels aren't.

I know they aren't. They are not playing in this series, so based on current Major League Baseball rules dictate that they cannot win a game between the Chicago White Stockings and the former Washington Senators (2nd incarnation).

I think FX, DIRECTV 248, is airing "Iron Man" & "Iron Man 2" all this week to get fans psyched for Friday's "Iron Man 3" premiere in theaters.

For the fourth straight game, Jeff Keppinger is NOT in the White Sox lineup.

Here's how the Sox will deal with the Rangers' Yu Darvish:
30 Alejandro De Aza LF (L)
1 Tyler Greene 2B (R)
51 Alex Rios RF (R)
32 Adam Dunn 1B (L)
14 Paul Konerko DH (R)
12 Conor Gillaspie 3B (L)
10 Alexei Ramirez SS (R)
38 Hector Gimenez C (S)
20 Jordan Danks CF (L)
Starting Pitcher: 62 Jose Quintana (LHP; 2-0, 2.78 ERA)

I've got to think Jeff Keppinger might be thisclose to a DL stint if he's not back by Friday in Kansas City. Brent Morel, come on down?

As for the Rangers vs. Quintana:
5 Ian Kinsler 2B (R)
1 Elvis Andrus SS (R)
27 Lance Berkman DH (S)
29 Adrian Beltre 3B (R)
17 Nelson Cruz RF (R)
15 Jeff Baker LF (R)
8 Geovany Soto C (R)
18 Mitch Moreland 1B (L)
23 Craig Gentry CF (R)
Starting Pitcher: 11 Yu Darvish (RHP; 4-1, 1.65 ERA)

Yes, but I filled in the blanks...

By the way, it turns out newly acquired OF Casper Wells, whom the White Sox acquired this morning from the A's, was the corresponding move with OF Blake Tekotte optioned to Triple "A" Charlotte. Wells will sport jersey #39 tonight.

You mean you don't know who Jeff Baker is? The same Jeff who played for the Cubs, Tigers & Braves within the last 2 years?

Oh, I know who he is...I just didn't pay enough attention to notice he had moved on to Texas. Mostly because I don't give a rats ass about Jeff Baker's career.

Technically, you are correct. However, this will be the White Sox first ever visit to Citi Field, which is where the MLB All-Star Game is being held in July.

Anthony John Pierzynski is out of the lineup for the Rangers. Even though he has the highest BA vs. the White Sox of any team in his MLB career at .347, Pierzynski is out due to an unspecified health issue and likely won't play until Thursday, says CSNChicago.com's Dan Hayes.

Darvish has a fantastic windup delivery. I don't understand why the Rangers have him working from the stretch with no one on base.
