There was a ground ball to second and Hawk said "ground ball to Beckham." Hawk may be the only person on the planet who wants Beckham back more than I do. Well Robin does too. |

Whew. That was some mighty fine pitching by Crain. Now how about getting a few more runs to help the bullpen out a little. |

You should get your head examined if you bring Thornton in a close game. |

In related news, the guy sewing the digits on the back of the Carmine jerseys in the Boston clubhouse has demanded that they start paying him by the letter. No source, I just made that up for no reason. Bad. |

Buchholz's ball isn't moving nearly as much as it did when he had the KY on his arm. They should have at least 4-5 runs against him by now. |

I'm glad I stuck around for that last Hawk story because it paid off at the end. "Yaz and I took him out to dinner." Fantastic. |

Apparently, Ken Harrelson got so tired of this game, Steve Stone actually did play by play for the final inning of last night's 6-2 White Sox loss to the Red Sox on Comcast SportsNet. Where have we heard this shtick before? |
