The White Sox get a taste of NL play in their own ballpark the next 5 games. Before the Cubs visit U.S. Cellular Field Monday & Tuesday, the Miami Marlins are here for a 3 game weekend series starting tonight. For the Marlins, they bring a 13-34 record to the Southside, rankings at the bottom in several categories and a great deal of no-names on their roster with first year manager and former Miami catcher Mike Redmond filling out the lineup card.

As SCORE/White Sox Radio Network producer Herb Lawrence would say, "Let's eat," in regards to the Sox success vs. their NL counterparts in Interleague play. Then again, maybe not after you see these mound matchups:

TONIGHT: 7:10P, Comcast SportsNet Chicago & 670 The SCORE/White Sox Radio Network
MIA: 34 Tom Koehler (RHP; 0-2, 2.82 ERA) vs. CHW: 50 John Danks (LHP; Season Debut)

SATURDAY: 6:15P, FOX32 Chicago (MLB on FOX) & 670 The SCORE/White Sox Radio Network
MIA: 47 Ricky Nolasco (RHP; 3-5, 3.96 ERA) vs. CHW: 44 Jake Peavy (RHP; 5-2, 3.31 ERA)

SUNDAY: 1:10P, WGN Sports & 670 The SCORE/White Sox Radio Network
MIA: 28 Alex Sanabia (RHP; 3-6, 4.56 ERA) vs. CHW: 33 Dylan Axelrod (RHP; 2-3, 4.13 ERA)

Frank, the White Sox have done very well vs. their NL counterparts in Interleague play. Then again, these Marlins don't exactly have many household names, let alone guys White Sox hitters have necessarily faced.

If the DH is in use, as it usually is at US Comiskular, how is it a "taste of NL play?"

You got me, Apologist. It's actually an NL team getting a taste of AL play. That's E-1 if you're scoring.

Never pictured you as a pitcher, SHARK.

What I should've said is that it's the first taste of an NL team in an AL park for the White Sox this season. There is legit talk about the DH in BOTH leagues if MLB's powerful Players Association greenlights it in the next few years.

They're supposed to visit Houston later in the season. Another team that's supposed to be bad at baseball, even though the Astros are now an AL team.

SHARK, there is no "supposed to" about it. The Astros will play at the Cell at the end of August, and they are bad at baseball.

And the White Sox are going to Houston, too.

A gem from Peavy.

His best years may well be ahead of him.

It's a Fox game.

Amazing what happens when you don't give away outs.

Peavy gets the W.

Conor Gillaspie is the greatest.

When Steve said Peavy, he really meant Floyd.

And his best years may very well be ahead of him.

So he's got that going for him.

Which is nice.

Wasn't it just two weeks ago that people were betting the cubs would have a better record than sox?

If he took Jake out and putt Reed in, people would bitch about that too. You say the same thing about the Cubs. Fans aren't happy with this or that blah blah blah.

If you say that about the Cubs and the Bears, you can't say that about the Sox.
