I'm sure many of us will be doing things outdoors this long weekend and will not post until Tuesday. The Cup is Up starting Monday. Sox have never relingquished the trophy and won't be expected to until 2015. I will be going to the game. |

If the Cubs get 3 hits or score 1 run, Samardzija is better than Sale |

Hopefully tonight they don't play like they'd rather be sitting in a dentists chair. Samardzija threw a good game but that was the most frustrating game of the year. Viciedo swinging at pitches in the left handed batters box, Alexei swinging at pitches in the dirt and he falls asleep on a delayed steal, Flowers can't move his lazy ass to block a pitch and fuckin De Aza can't go back on a flyball even though he's playing on the god damn concourse. I hope they get their heads out of their asses tonight. This shit is getting old. |

I hope they get their heads out of their asses tonight. This shit is getting old. De Aza has been a disappointment in the leadoff spot this year. Ramirez's brain cramps are reaching a point where he should sit...at least for 1 game. Is it wrong to suggest Tyler Greene, tonight's second baseman, play at least once at shortstop before Gordon Beckham is expected to rejoin the ballclub next week in Seattle if he doesn't suffer another setback in his recovery from a hamate bone injury to his wrist? |

What? The ran into a buzzsaw in Smarddzija last night. There have been several other games where the bullpen has come in and blown a lead, or the Sox have given away extra outs and extra runs with bad defense. I'd have to question just how many games you have watched if you consider that the most frustrating game of the year so far. I've seen 3 that have been worse in person. |

"Quickest left handed bat in the AL" "Not since Graig Nettles, seen a bat that fast" My only question is does he do this to fuck with people or he is really losing it? |

A shame the game was postponed. Now we'll never know how the Cubs could fare against Sale. |

WYC, Steve? Sale is by far the best pitcher in Chicago right now. |

Yeah, the jury isn't out on his dominance, only his durability. Besides, the jury's out on the durability of every young pitcher, that's just the way baseball works. |

So .... I am to understand that yesterday's game is filed in the "postponed" file - any date assigned yet? |

Don Tiny wrote: So .... I am to understand that yesterday's game is filed in the "postponed" file - any date assigned yet? There's been talk about June 24th, which is a common off day, but so far, no date has been announced officially. I've also heard talk about the two teams doing what the Mets & Yankees did in 2003. Those two teams played a day-night DH starting at Yankee Stadium and ending at Shea Stadium. The Yankees swept the two by scores of 7-1 and 9-8 respectively. |
