SHARK will not have particulars, he will be pissing on a team that is 4.5 games out of first on June 3rd. Outside of Kid Cairo, I have ever seen a Sox fan who is as negative as SHARK.

I certainly don't expect much out of this team anymore, but I am absolutely not writing them off just yet. If they were 10 games out, different story. Fact is that with 3 or 4 winning series in a row, they could be right back in this thing.

You will see Beckham, but you won't see Dustin Ackley. The Mariners' 2B was recently optioned to their Triple "A" affiliate in Tacoma because he's been struggling badly at the plate. As for the mound matchups:

TONIGHT: 9:10P, Comcast SportsNet Chicago & 670 The SCORE/White Sox Radio Network
CHW: 50 John Danks (LHP; 0-1, 5.40 ERA) vs. SEA: 23 Joe Saunders (LHP; 3-5, 5.37 ERA)

TUESDAY: 9:10P, CSNC & 670 The SCORE/White Sox Radio Network
CHW: 44 Jake Peavy (RHP; 6-3, 3.62 ERA) vs. SEA: 34 Felix Hernandez (RHP; 6-4, 2.38 ERA)

WEDNESDAY: 2:40P, WGN Sports & 670 The SCORE/White Sox Radio Network
CHW: 33 Dylan Axelrod (RHP; 3-4, 4.04 ERA) vs. SEA: 18 Hisashi Iwakuma (RHP; 6-1, 2.13 ERA)

Does the bleeding continue?

Seattle has been awful this year, but they do have their best 2 starters going in this series....plus, Danks couldn't get past the 4th in his last outing vs the Cubs, so the streak may continue....

Thanks SHARK.

It looks like an easy win for the Sox.

Saunders used what.....7 pitches to retire the Sox in the 1st?

Danks cannot get guys out with hard stuff (he can't throw that hard anymore), so everthing is off speed or he is nibbling on/near the corners all the time and throwing a lot of pitches. A shadow of the pitcher he was. His change is the only plus pitch he has now.

A poorly played fly ball to short center leads to a gift run.

No success on the long road back for old John Danks tonight. Right now he is not a major league caliber pitcher. The stuff is just not there.

And because his stuff is so lacking he has to try to nibble to every hitter and has taken 86 pitches to get through 4 innings. So no way he can go deep into games. That means every time he pitches, the bullpen is likely to be stretched.

why is a Cubs fan so engrossed in White Sox baseball?

I am a Baseball fan and the Cubs are not playing today. Thus, I am available to lend observations to the pale hosed ballclub. Lucky You...

Post subject:  Re: The Eventual 2013 World Series Champions @ Seattle 6/3-6

Saunders reminds me of Wandy Rodriguez. He has a short arm delivery and tries to make hitters get themselves out by swinging at pitches out of the zone. Fortunately for him, many Sox hitters are willing to oblige.

Post subject:  Re: The Eventual 2013 World Series Champions @ Seattle 6/3-6

Saunders came into the game with a 5.37 ERA and the Sox only scratch out 1 gift run off a poorly played fly ball hit to the center fielder and another in the 9th against the closer. God knows what they will be able to do against King Felix tomorrow night....

The losing streak now stands at 7!!!

By the way....Konerko is cheating on the fastball these days. He must lack the bat speed to hit a good fastball and has to cheat on it now.

All We have to do is be within 7 games when the Hawks win the Cup.

Then We will really turn it on.

Currently 5 behind Cleveland and 6 behind Detroit....oh, and 1 1/2 behind Minnesota. But 1/2 game ahead of Kansas City!!!

So we're right where we need to be.

It's all good.
