Is it time for him to make a big deal to steal some spotlight back off the Cubs? |

Why? I think he should just sit back and wait while all the Cub fans to do the math and realize that Soriano will be a 38 year old centerfielded and a lead off man while they are still paying him $17Mil. |

I disagree. It's not about stealing headlines in the offseason out of a reaction to what the Cubs did. The Sox are at 110 million pay roll. Not much more is going to happen with free agents. There might be a trade to trade a money player for another money player. I personally think the Cubs spent this money foolishly. They could have got Beltron a couple years ago for less money per year. He's a better all around player. Plus he's a much younger player. |

Nope. Sit back and wait until the Zito and Schmidt markets balloon to 12-15 million. Then mention to those teams that they can have Freddy Garcia for 10 million. Pit the teams that do not get Z or S against each other for the best bid possible. Then offer Crede a 3 year deal. If he does not accept it, make some calls to move him. |

I agree GD. The Boss will go ape shit once Zito signs with the Mets and the Bo Sox finalize a deal with Matsuzaka. Kenny can sit back a let the offers roll in. |

There aren't alot of elite players at 38 Nas. A few are solid players. Bonds a few years ago was elite but that was prior to roid testing. Some pitchers are elite at 38 but very few postion players. I know it's all about this year and that's fine if they win it all. I just think they won't have enough pitching and he's tying up to much of the pay roll so it handcuffes them. |

I thought he deserved less pay this year. If he is at 45 million, where does that put Podsednik? I am glad that KW is not joining in the insanity. He will make his move via the trade and he is holding good pieces. |
