Both guys deserve it. Hope Sale can get into the game.

"Losing pitcher" Travis Wood! He is not having a very good year!

Tarvis Wood 5-6 2.69 ERA 17 starts 16 quality starts
Chris Sale 5-8 2.78 ERA 16 starts 13 quality starts

I am a little confused....
Please define "losing pitcher" while you compare and contrast "Loser" Wood and "Deserve It" Sale.

I will sit down and wait for my answer.

Sale has been pitching his ass off. He's a great example of why win/loss records don't mean shit.

They mean a lot and before this season is over, Sale is likely to be over .500. Like anything else, W/L record is subject to a large enough sample in order to draw conclusions. Baseball is a game of time and repetition.

The better the pitcher, the more important it is, in my opinion. My top pitchers are guys who go out there and win games. Sale hasn't done that this year.
