The Public Relations challenged White Sox offered a free APRIL TICKET, excluding the Red Sox Series, to those people nuts enough to have attended yesterday's game. Do these mopes think they are going to SELL the Red Sox tickets in April? Thank You, Weird Jerry and Brooks, on behalf of Sox fans. Your caring gesture means the World to us. See you in April in 38 degree temperatures. |

The Sox are just unbelievable. How many people were there? 200? Reinsdorf should have invited them to dinner at his house. Or he should have produced another round of World Series rings for anyone who was loyal enough to watch this fucking team in the cold rain. I had trouble with the second checkpoint on Saturday night. There was a relatively large crowd which I'm sure took the Sox by surprise. Probably for the Irish caps. Anyway, they had some dope checking tickets at the 100 level and instead of just glancing as each person passed, he was going over them as if he was examining an underage kid's fake ID as he was trying to enter a strip club. Of course, it didn't take long for a gigantic line to snake its way all the way down the ramp. All in the interest of preventing some dastardly scumbag with a 500 level steerage ticket from seeing this shitball team up close. The bases were already loaded by the time I got in. What new? That nonsense won't stop me from going next year, but what about the more casual guy? For a team that is constantly whining about its lack of attendance, they sure do make it a hassle for anyone who does actually decide to spend their money with them. |

Dear Sir or Madam, I apologize for the perceived mistreatment you endured after attending our game Friday night. Please know we value you and your support. After an exhaustive inquiry into the matter, it looks like the problem was that the number of fans attending the game exceeded our projections and as such we were understaffed. Please accept my apologies and this enclosed voucher good for any White Sox home game next year between April 8th and April 15th. Respectfully, Brooks Boyer |

What's so difficult about staying in the section for which you purchased your tickets? I took my son to a game in July. It was in the 500 level. We watched the game from the 500 level. We went home. Not sure what the problem is. |

I think his point is he doesn't want to be bothered every time he goes to the bathroom or gets something to eat/drink. They do go overboard and it's a pain. Especially for a stadium that's mostly empty. Last time we went i had a helmet nacho a hot dog and a couple drinks and the guy was all can I see your ticket? Made me tense for about 10 minutes. |

This must be only a problem for Orr. I went to 4 games this year and other than showing my ticket on the ramp and once before I walked to my seat the first time, I was never asked for it again. I know he goes to a lot more games than I do, but honestly I can't ever remember being hassled for my ticket in the lower level once I'm in the park. Not sure if it just happens to him for whatever reason, or he is blowing this issue way out of proportion but I've never, ever had a problem with it. THere have also been a few instances where I've had a upper deck ticket and walked right past the "gatekeepers" without issue. |

I guess I just don't see what end they're trying to achieve by protecting the 100 level. Do they really think everyone with a 500 ticket would come downstairs if they didn't post sentries at every entrance? Sure, a few people would come down and walk along the concourse and maybe sit down for awhile in a park that is half empty anyway. So what? Is the park going to explode? They started that after the Ligues because they had 500 level seats. As if only a poor scum from upstairs is capable of charging the field. And that gets into how the ballpark is now a microcosm of society where there are various levels with the assumption being made that the more money you have, the "better" you are as a person. They cut my beer off in the seventh. The guy in a suite can drink all night. Bottom line: it doesn't make sense to me that you would hassle and possibly anger millions (or 1.7 million ) of paying fans a year in order to prevent a Ligue situation every five or six years. It just doesn't seem like a good risk management philosophy. |

You make it seem like every time you go to the Cell, you get asked to show your ticket 6, 7, 8 times. As I said, you go to a lot more games than me, but every game I've gone too since the 2008 blackout game, I have never had an issue with showing my ticket more than getting onto the 100 level, and once going into my section. Thats it. I just can't figure out why its so much different for you seemingly every game you go to? I do agree that common sense must apply to the 500 level policy. If there are 15-16,000 people there, who cares if fans from upstairs come down to the 100 level. If its a game where 25K+ are there, then I can see them being a little more strict with enforcing that policy. Every stadium cuts off beer in the 7th inning, or 2 minute warning, or end of the 3rd quarter. That is not a policy unique to the White Sox or US Cellular Field. |
