You can have a really smart guy as a GM, but he better have some damn good scouts to tell him what's what.

Very true. That is something that can be easy to build around. With all the southpaws the Sox could move a starter for a piece as well. Still a lot of work to do.

Well hopefully he has some more really shrewd moves up his sleeve. Like giving Flowers the starting job, signing Keppinger to play 3B, picking up the $10MM option on Gavin Floyd, and declining the $6MM option on Francisco Liriano.
