First road trip of the season. Weather looks to be a lot better for the Sox first road series of the season (mid 50s, slight chance of rain Sunday)

Nate Jones to the DL with muscle strain in his hip, Jake Petricka to the big club.

Frank how do you feel coming out of that first series? Those last two games were pretty wild. Tough to judge yourself against a bad team, maybe the sloppiness was playing down to the competition. I think outside of Sale, the pitching staff has a lot of question marks. The hitting looked solid overall. Lots of interesting offensive players.

I'm sure the offense isn't going to be that good every game, but I also would think (hope) that the bullpen cannot be that bad every game. Abreu certainly looks like they real deal though. He'll slug when he can, but he's also content with taking a single to right field as well. gd was right in that if they were playing the Tigers, Red Sox, or Rays the Sox would likely be 1-2. Maybe they played down to the competition a bit. Early in the year though weather sucks all over and play/pitching can be sloppy everywhere so I guess it all evens out.

I'm still excited about the club. I suppose its possible they have an outside chance to contend for a WC spot, but I doubt it. I think that first series is going to be a lot of what we are going to see all season. Ups, downs, growing pains, winning a few games they should have lost, and losing a few games they should have won. I still see them about 77-80 wins when its all said and done.

Would be really nice to take 2 out of 3. Sunday's matchup should be fun. I expect Abreu to go deep at least once.

Nice start. Hopefully Semien has a better series and shows what Apologist is seeing in him.

WTF is with Avi Garcia's defense so far this year. He looked so smooth out there last year.

Just said he missed some calls and he needs to learn how to ask for help if he's not sure about a call.

Im sure those missed calls only benefitted KC though.
