Jose Abreu - "far superior", "professional hitter", gonna be a 30+ HR guy in his sleep
Avi Garcia - "a superstar", the guy for the next 10-15 years.

Baseball is so good, that the old rehashed arguments about the teams never get old to me

Its good to see that Cubs fans can make up things about other teams as well as their own.

Just pointing out the media loves prospects and young players for all teams.

Frank, these are all things Steve Stone, Barry Rozner or Matt Spiegel have said in the past week.

And they were all fawning over Kris Bryant and all of the guys that Theo "stole" from the Rangers in the Garza trade. Yep, prospects are the flavor of the month for baseball media in this town. Its pretty pathetic actually.

Abreu isnt really a prospect though. Youve seen how good guys have been in the big leagues who werent as good as he was in Cuba. The comps are there. On the other hand, there have been tons of guys who tore up the PCL and never made it in the majors.

Who called Garcia a superstar?

Pro tip: Don't ever listen to Rozner and Spiegel for...anything.

not a prospect if playing in MLB

performance at MLB level is perfectly acceptable material for predicting future performance at MLB level

Rozner said he's going to be a star in this league for 10 to 15 years, irrespective of the protip

You owe Cubbie Nation an apology for this false statement

If the Rangers GM Jon Daniels says he regrets and would like that trade back is it OK to be excited?
