Verlander vs Quintana tonight
Scherzer vs the great TBA tomorrow

Sucks that its the Tigers two best pitchers again so early in the year, but a split of this mini series would be nice. The Sox have 2 more wins than the Tigers, but also have 4 more losses. Somehow that translates into 1 game back. Anyway, too early to look at the standings I just thought that was weird. Bear weather tonite.

Quintana is throwing some smoke tonight. He must be feeling strong after is shortened last outing.

Nice to see them put a couple on the board already against Verlander. Quintana looks real good once again.

Swampy D unloaded on that one. They need to bring back one year contracts.

Good lord the corner outfield defense is atrocious while Jordan Danks just sits on the bench day after day.

Just got pantsed a little bit on that bunt. Gutsy play by the Tigers.

This game was lost when Quintana gave up 4 hits in a row in the 6th. 2 outs nobody on, he's got a 2 run lead against Verlander, and leaves the inning with the game tied. That is just not acceptable.

The game was lost when the right fielder made a three-base error in the top of the 9th that led to the winning run.

I don't know. I know with Sale on the DL and Johnson going to AAA the rotation is a bit fucked up, but this is the second time in 8 days the Sox have basically thrown a game away against the Tigers by starting some schmuck against a Cy Young contender. With tomorrow being an off day, I would have hoped that there was a better option than Noesi to start today.

If they were going to just say "fuck it", why not throw Hanson in this game coming off five shutout innings.

I didn't hear Johnson is being sent down. What happened. He had a bad start last outing but that was preceded by two good starts. You have to expect bumps with rookie pitchers.

They sent him down on Saturday and brought up Carroll to pitch on Sunday. Johnson has 15 walks and has given up 27 hits in 23 innings. Sounds like he will be back up before long, but that is just too wild to keep around for now.

Sounds like they're just using a guy with options to make these roster moves, right?

Batting Beckham 2nd is a terrible idea.

These fantastic catches by Eaton are starting to become routine.

We just forgot what a center fielder looks like after all these years.

Yep. Pretty sad. Pretty much have handed 2 wins to Detroit starting these guys. Very poor from Ventura.
