This is the greatest two game sweep of an AL central team over an NL west team Ive ever seen

Warren Newson, the Deacon, I tell ya, he was the best hitter in a two game series I have ever seen in my parts of 6 decades in this game. Two game series, he'd go...5-9 with a homer, two doubles, and 5 RBI. Put him in there during a 3 game series, and it seemed like he would grab some bench every time up! I luuuv the Deacon.

I know BRICK you are all focused on the wild card and posting in the Cubs forum..so you probably never looked at ALL of the MLB standings... going into this 2 gamer against the Sox the Giants had the BEST record in all of MLB...that is all I said.

The MLB BEST San Francisco Giants (43-27) take on the Sox at The Cell for a 2 gamer starting Tuesday. Cain (1-4 3.84) vs Danks (5-5 4.17) Hudson (7-2 1.81) vs Sale (5-1 1.97) The Wednesday match up is must see ..... can the Sox rebound off the sweep?

Take that sweep right in your silly face because you know damn well you would be rubbing it in (read= trolling) had the Giants won both of these games. 3 back of the Wild Card! But a tough 11 game trip coming up.

I wasnt near a computer yesterday. I like to think I would have taken Hudson out of my lineup. I cant know for sure. This is the greatest two game sweep of an AL central team over an NL west team Ive ever seen

There was a guy named Jerry Lynch who played for the Reds back in the 60s. I remember reading an article about him in an old Baseball Digest that said he was "too good to play every day."
