He can't help himself. He's a typical Cubs fan, obsessed with the White Sox.

For the 4th fireworks, sitting on the Lawn at the Grand Geneva behind another group, where one of the older gentlement, 59, was wearing his BUERHLE jersey.

As we are a friendly group, I asked why he was wearing it?

He explained to me because he was in Brewer country! I then asked if he was unaware the Brewers are in the Cubs divsion? he just laughed.

So he was wearing it for "The attention"

Of course none of that compares to the new theory I was informed of. The Sox like finding poor hispanic pitchers because they try harder and then when they get good enough, the Sox offer them long term cheap deals and they know they will take it.

I only wish I could have audio of the rest of the conversation.

Hahn found the new market inefficiency! Poor Hispanic pitchers! Suck on that, Theo!

The Sox fan wasnt focused so much on Hahn doing this, it was of course the cheap jewish owner. Yes, i could have gone on and asked him if he enjoyed the free $100K fireworks show he was watching by another cheap jewish guy as he then went and packed up to stay at his muich cheaper motel, but I chose to leave that one alone as I could only guess the rest of the conversation.

Actually, according to a really cool study the New York Times did on facebook likes, Lake Geneva (53147) has a plurality of Cubs fans: 33% to the Brewers' 29%. Even that seems a little high for the Brewers, anecdotally speaking. Interesting, though, how Cubs fandom drops right off a cliff if you drive just north (59-18 Brewers) or west (54-23) of town. They got that part right.

I am sure he was aware of the study and thus dressed accordingly.

Ozzie!

That was exactly my response! IIRC Ozzie got 4yrs at $4-6mil/year when he signed up with Loria down in Miami so he's still sitting around making 4-6mil this year and next. After that he'll have to eat a little humble pie and maybe go back to "prove himself" at $2-3mil/yr, but I could see him coming home to uncle jerry as long as Kenny and his golfcart are far far upstairs.

Good deal for Ozzie (cashing out for big crazy $$$ with dumbass Loria) as I think he can use/enjoy the siesta for 3/+ yrs of 4/+ mil/year for doing nothing. He always could manage I'd he gave a shit, but he wanted his $15-20mil payday ("the love") a year b4 his deal was up and he wasn't gonna get it with with "The Cheapest Owner in Sports" ™®© so he left, got paid handsomely to not manage for 3+yrs.... And then "when its time" he can do a sweetheart 3yr 7mil deal to lead the whitesox when its winning time.

It'd be the best thing ever if the Cubs signed him. Ozzie can manage.... It isn't like we're talking about *giggles* Manny Acta!

Whenever I'm on vacation, I always make sure I look for somebody wearing a Cubs hat and then ask him why he is wearing such a silly thing.

Maybe next year Hahn can pick up a couple of guys off the scrap heap, pray they put up some decent numbers, and then trade them to stack the minors with talent even though the big league club is on its way to yet another 90 loss campaign....

I look for people wearing Bears coats and then try to strike up a conversation about the team with them. Nearly always a great conversation.

That's the kind of nucleus that can be turned into a contender in short order.

Add a starting pitcher (Rodon) and a couple bullpen arms and your golden

You post about the Cubs more than the White Sox, I think.

You're just like the media...
