He deserves to go. I just voted 20 times for him.

Will assume the Sox are OK with it, if he wasnt going to start, then he gets minimal time to warm up and I dont think thats what they want.

That's insane. He's the best pitcher in the AL.

The Sox aren't going to lose 100 games, so I think they should keep him.

He's in the final vote...so he could still get in...

I understand MLB not wanting 3 players to go from a last place team... but sale is deserving.

The Sox aren't in last, the Twins are. Sox are a couple of games ahead of them.

I agree it's a joke, Sale absolutely should be on the team. Dude is dominant when he pitches.

I still like the all-star game. I like watching it, I like the HR derby too. My kid has started showing some interest in it, so it's kinda cool that way too.

It's still an "event". We will all be watching it next Tuesday, not like anything else is on.

He has 13 starts. If Sale deserves to go, then Arrieta does.

There's no argument against Sale. He is an All Star

I didnt look at his numbers and compare them.

Sale is top 5 in nearly every pitching category.

Why does it always come back to the Cubs with you?

I am pretty sure Sale and the Cub kid are interchangeable.

Sale will be there. He will be the first replacement for somebody that drops out due to injury, or due to pitching on the Sunday before the game.

8-1, 2.16 ERA and not an AS. Really sad.

Arrieta has a slightly better ERA, slightly worse WHIP, 2.05 FIP, 10 K's per 9, 4.16 K/BB

5-1 record, for the JORR's out there.

Arrieta has 12 GS, Sale with 13 GS.

Sad is kinda strong. We'll all keep on keepin on.

It happens almost every year. They should get rid of the "every team represented" rule

8 Wins in 13 starts and 3.7 WAR > 5 wins in 12 starts and 3.0 WAR. Don't be sad, IMU.

If Sale didn't make the cut because of lack of IP than the 17 IP difference between Arietta and Sale probably matters.

Why would any fan want a pitcher to play in this game? I dont want my ace pitcher coming into a game after an abbreivated warm up to throw a meaningless 5th inning of a meaningless game. Let him get some extra rest and be ready to go for real games.

WRONG AGAIN Frank.......

Red Sox closer Koji Uehara isn't an All-Star just yet, but it sounds like there's a very promising chance he will be by the end of the week.

While revealing the selections, manager John Farrell indicated that Uehara will get added if one of the American League All-Star pitchers who is slated to start on Sunday chooses to give up his roster spot.

BUT Sale deserves the spot
