considering the Sox fans are too busy pounding on Theos unique plan, never before seen in sports, we will take this time to honor the 3rd greatest man on the planet, Paul Konerko, as he winds down a very good career.

He had a great career I'd say. Not a Hall of Fame career by any means but still great.

Konerko seems like he would be a fun guy to have a few beers and watch a football game or play a round of golf with.

AWESOME career.

I have a feeling he's kinda boring. I still like the guy, love what he did in the uniform, but hes the Toyota Camry of ballplayers. A big reason the Sox never had an edge after Ozzie left is because Paulie took a de facto leadership role. The Latin players seemed to have introduced a bit more fun into the clubhouse (as has Eaton), which I think is good.

That would be great. But maybe he can give him back a fake one like the ones Cub fans throw onto the field before they take home the actual Carlos Lee home run ball and treasure it for the rest of their lives.

Should we defer to the expertise of a Cubs fan in this matter?

So the video tribute that they have been planning for Paulies last game, they released on Twitter? http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/columnists/ct-paul-konerko-farewell-video-haugh-spt-0925-20140925-column.html

The guy deserves a full house and a standing O, not even a question. I think it would have helped if they just focused on one final night for the guy, not 13 and a video everyone will have already seen?

Hope you all show up

It doesn't matter, spmack. Whatever I post in this thread, bigfan gets sensitive about it and prunes it.
