That's when they give Konerko a one day contract and bring him in the game as a pitcher to strike out Javier Baez before re-retiring right on the mound. Kerry Wood's kid will be there to run on the field and hug Paulie.

Supposed to be cold that day. (Just giving a reason why only 10,000 might show up)

If anyone deserves it it's Pauly. Good job Uncle Jerry.

If you're not a HOF'er, you should not have your jersey retired. Teams are going to run out of numbers the way number retirings are happening these days.

I'm pretty sure the amount of numbers is infinite.

I don't agree with that. You can have an awesome career be one of the franchises best ever players and not make the HOF.

You really want to see a guy out there with 3 digits on his uni?

If you can fit "Saltalamaccia" on a uniform, three digit numbers should be no problem.

At least they waited until he retired unlike the charismatic Harold Baines

Think I heard this will be the 11th number the W-Sox have retired. I like what the Cowboys have done with the "Ring of Honor" "thing"....but the numbers stay active for say a receiver to still wear number 88, MAKE an awesome catch near the end of a playoff game to potentially win the game only to have it stolen away by the god-damn refs and nonsensical rules. God damn mother fucking bullshit fucking fuck fuck!!!!

Ok. I'm over it now. Anyway...I did hear that this was the 11th number being retired. Anyone care to look up and post the other 10? I don't

2 Nellie Fox (my personal favorite) 1997 HOF has statue at the park
3 Harold Baines has statue at the park
4 Luke Appling 1964 HOF
9 Minnie Minoso has statue at the park
11 Louie Aparicio 1984 HOF has statue at the park
16 Ted Lyons 1955 HOF
19 Billy Pierce has statue at the park
35 Frank Thomas 2014 HOF has statue at the park
72 Carlton Fisk 2000 HOF has statue at the park
42 Jackie Robinson 1962 HOF has statue at the park

Since you're gonna ask
Charles Comiskey has statue at the park
Paul Konerko has statue at the park
Jim Thome only gets a plaque

That was a catch in my world.
But it was pass interference the week before in my world too.
I'm over it too.

Who are you pulling for this weekend? Pack or Seahawk?

Probably Seahawks I guess....sort of a lose-lose situation in my sporting world. Typically when I dont have a cheering or financial interest in a game, I always pull for the underdog....so out of the final four I'll pull for the Colts. How about you?

Yeah I would love to see the Colts win it all.
I don't the Seahawks at all, not really a Carroll fan, but that stadium on game day is nuts.
I can't ever, ever root for the Packers to have success.
