LaRussa interested in bringing him to Arizona. I'm guessing that's where he goes. I can't see Theo firing Ricky. Francona will probably be the next Cubs manager. |

ozzie was awesome. i don't care what anyone says about some dictators in cuba, i'll never forget that time he went out there and started an argument for no reason to screw up jays closer b.j. ryan, who had struck out 2 hitters in 6 pitches and was ahead 0-2 to whoever. after a minute or two of ozzie's pointless arguing/grandstanding, ryan couldn't hit the strike zone and walked the third hitter, who would eventually go around to score in an eventual 2-1 come-from-behind WHITE SOX WINNER(TM) still, if he can resist the urge to keep it real about his thoughts on foreign dictators i think he'll end up being a nice top pundit @ ESPN/MLBN/playoffcoverage/whatever. he's got it made in that regard, just as long as he remembers those chappelle's show skits about the times that "keeping it real" went horribly wrong. |

you know what i'll always remember about ozzie? that time he signaled for the fat man when he wanted bobby jenks to come into the game. sammy sosa walked out on the cubs too. alonzo spellman walked out on life once too. shit happens. alls i'm saying is that ozzie could manage my team any time he wants because if you give him dusty's horses he sure as hell knows how to ride them. see 2005. |
