Been saying it for years. Nobody wants them and the guys who put the money in, want the money instead of the headache. "NONE" of the Kids want them. Well 1 has somewhat of an interest, but he would only look to move them and is a minority partner anyways, so he would be getting sloppy 13ths. the deal has been shopped for the last 5 years, maybe they found a sucker? |

They would do well to move to Indiana. A lot of Northwest Indianans are Sox fans, and the team could be the Big Fish in the small pond they always wanted to be. #SouthBendOrBust #JewFreeOrganizationSince2015 #CatholicCharitiesCouldFootTheBillOnTheStadium |

I heard it from a guy I consider a good source. I tried to get confirmation from another guy who I thought might know. He hadn't heard anything and asked me if Kenny Williams was involved with the purchasing group. He's going to try to find out more info. |

Also good luck spending any money this offseason. Gotta keep them commitments low for a potential buyer. |

Also, based on where I heard it, I would guess that the buyers might be Chicago guys. Who knows? I'll just tell you that the guy I heard it from isn't somebody to just make shit up. |

Might it be Canning? He tried to get in on the Cubs before they wound up with the Nebraska kids. |

The litmus test for JORRs guy is whether or not Bernstein corroborates the speculation. If he does then JORRs being played. |

Alright, I'll buy them. First thing is to put Hawk back at GM. He's got the TWTW. |

Vegas is a LOCK to be willing to build a dome for any team that wants to move, so you dont need to wait on local political fights before you go ahead and cut the deal, but many other places would be willing to look at a team. San Antonio, Okla, Carolina.... |

You know, Charlotte is overextended with the Panthers and Hornets, but Raleigh might work. Baseball wouldn't conflict with college basketball, and no one's spending any money on the Hurricanes. But let's be honest: the White Sox aren't going anywhere, certainly not Las Vegas. I'm near the top of this board's official list of White Sox Haters, and even I want them around. |

The Sox should have relocated to the suburbs when they had the chance. They would fill the stadium in the 'burbs. |

Scorehead wrote: The Sox should have relocated to the suburbs when they had the chance. They would fill the stadium in the 'burbs. They didn't really have a great chance. The referendum in Addison failed, when they were trying to go there. The people didn't want them. Maybe Schaumburg or Rosemont would have taken them though. |

Maybe every business should move to the burbs and we can just have a big smoldering crater on the lakefront. |

I'm near the top of this board's official list of White Sox Haters, and even I want them around. 1. These are examples of Markets that are looking for teams, I am not stating the vaibility of the team. 2. The Sox are estimated around $700 mill...to buy a $700 mill team the annually results in a small lose or gain, with very little room to improve or decrease. Media rights are minimal, advertising, attendance..are all minimal. So if Jerry wants his market value +, relocation is going to be on the table as part of the deal. I don't place Las vegas or anywhere else as a favorite, just an example. You can love the sox, you can hate the sox, this is a pretty simple business choice to relocate in order to maximize $$$'s on a sale. or does Jerry give someone the Hometown discount? How's that for the ultimate IRONY! (How's that for the definition Darkside????) |

Okay, but baseball abhors relocation. In 45 years there's been one relocation, and that took a decrepit stadium, a lack of ownership, and a massive population shift triggered by oppressive language laws. I know the White Sox have a stadium, I know they can have a market for baseball, and I'm pretty sure there are people willing to own the team in Chicago. There have been more failed relocations than successful ones: A's to Chicago, Padres to Washington, Astros to Washington, White Sox to Tampa, Giants to Tampa, Mariners to Tampa, Twins to Winston-Salem, and eliminating the Expos and Twins altogether. I'll err on the side of inertia. EDIT: the Twins moving to fucking Winston-Salem would have been a beautiful disaster. That's something the NHL would do. EDIT 2: speaking of dumb shit the NHL would do, wouldn't any difference in market value be accounted for by a relocation fee going to the rest of the league and not Reinsdorf? In buying the White Sox, you're buying the franchise to Chicago's American League team, not a Las Vegas team. |

Maybe this is another piece of the puzzle with regard to Bernstein becoming a Cubs cheerleader: with his old man-crush divesting himself of the team and Theo on the north side, there's no reason to stay loyal. |
