Enjoy him now. When he hits free agency, he is long gone. Look at the money that was thrown around this year for marginal talent. Gary Matthews Jr. got a huge deal just on his bat. Now what do you suppose the going rate will be for a 3B who can hit, field and hit homers? Only one or two teams will be able to afford him and one of them won't be the White Sox. |

One year deal! That is a clear indication to me that he intends to enter free agency, as there is no way Boras signs a long term deal next year...NO WAY! I am sure KW is quietly looking at deals, and I wholeheartedly back him on this. |

it's a good signing....especially if they get to the WS again. Josh Fields is the 3rd baseman of the future.....at least, that is what I (F)infer, from a Kenny standpoint. |

Peter Gammons is reporting the Sox talked to LAA about a Crede for Erick Aybar trade. I guess these trade rumors are never going away unless Crede signs a long term deal. LAA is an interesting potential trade partner because they need a 3B and are STACKED at SS. I thought KW would go for Cabrera but that was before I realized he wanted to win the WS in '10 rather than '07. |
