hahn has a brutal vocal tick i just noticed today that i probably will not be able ignore again when i hear him. basically anytime he stops to take a breath he lets out a "uuuuuuuhhhhhhh" before leading in to the next sentence.

Well he is the smartest Sox official to ever open his mouth. For years every talking head there has blamed the fan base for not coming out. He gave them credit for coming out last year in April and that gave him the push he needed to go get players. I think its all bullshit, but the years of foolish comments from coaches, GMs, players, media people actually were finally reversed by one smart guy telling the fans they did a good job. What a novel idea! Being nice to your customers!

Did you hear the Australian guy from the hijacked cafe they interviewed- had a terrible, squeaky "hmmmm" with every thought.

I can listen to him and his vocal tic each and every time he announces another major team improvement (salute Major Team Improvement ;)

And yet he said "palatable" instead of "palpable" yesterday. No big deal. I knew what he meant. But I was struck by the fact that dan bernstein said nothing at all about it. I'm sure if a brother or a hillbilly had misspoken in such a manner, li'l danny would have been all over it. But Hahn is a Really. Smart. Guy.

Mully's "ums" and "ahs" are far worse.

I don't care what Rick Hahn sounds like. His job is to build a winning team.
