In an interview with Bruce and Wayne he stated he picked out 40-50 (!) games he'll take off. But after this offseason he'll show up to all 162.

Oh, and he doesn't have time to show up for SoxFest. Previous engagement.

I heard Bruce say something about Hawk being a Hall of Fame broadcaster because of his ability to come up with nicknames like the Big Hurt. That was pretty much the only reason he gave. He wouldn't comment on his broadcasting ability because that's for the fans to decide.

Bruce is such a kiss ass. How about stating an opinion, asswipe?

Bruce Levine is terrible at radio.

I've heard that Hawk wanted to spend more time with his family, especially his grandkids. But, that all changed when Rick Hahn rebuilt the team over the offseason. So, my take is he really didn't give a shit about his family. Please Hawk rethink your position, take the 40 or 50 games off, enjoy the grandchildren and give Sox fans a break from hearing your bullshit stories.

Relax Frank. I just thought it was funny. I'll miss Hawk when he's gone like most Chicago baseball fans.

I don't get the aversion to Hawk... then again, I hardly see him 162 times. That's the key to enjoying Hawk... limited exposure. Then again, this is coming from a guy who largely listen to the road announcers on Cardinal broadcasts...

Looking forward to baseball on both sides of town this year.

It's going to be exciting with all the new faces.
