I take the brunt of the Sox hate around here for mocking the attendance, but I think many are much worse. I think the Sox fans exist, they just dont attend games for various reasons. However, when I see them at Wrigley in mass, yeah I will mock them....but the fane base is there. Should have more taco stands at the Cell! Do they have a taco stand out there??? |

I want both sides of town to have large and passionate baseball fanbases. I want people to talk about Chicago like it's a baseball town, not a Bears town. |

Me too, CH. I'll be watching a lot more games this year, that's for sure. |

There was more buzz in 2008 with both the Sox and Cubs in the postseason than 2006 with the Bears in the Super Bowl. Chicago is a baseball town if Cubs and Sox fans can fight each other. |

Why would you mock Sox fans @ Wrigley? The opportunity to easily attend a game at a major rivals park would be a draw for any fan-base. |

It probably wasn't hard to sell out a ballpark that is missing half its seats. |

Wrigley Field capacity = 41,072 half of 41,072 = 20,536 actual bleacher seats per my guy at the Cubs ...about 5,000 total...left , center and right. right filed only maybe 2,000 .....2,500 tops... The game that sold out is in July... "The left field bleachers are expected to be open by May 11, with the right field bleachers to be open in June", Kenney said. |

The one Sox game many of them choose to attend is the game at Wrigley. So they can wear that brand new Shersey they just bought. Coming to Wrigley for your one game is in no way a "easily attended game" |

Assuming you can walk to your car without getting mugged. "THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE AREA!" Figure I would get that out of the way for everyone |

Figure I would get that out of the way for everyone Are there still roving bands of thugs looking to rob people on summer nights as they leave Sheffield's and other neighborhood bars? I haven't gone drinking in Wrigleyville in a couple years, but the last time I did it seemed like there was something deeply wrong with the area. The blocks I hit didn't even seem as safe as most of Rogers Park. |

bigfan wrote: Assuming you can walk to your car without getting mugged. How many people have been mugged inside of STATE OF IL controlled parking lots since that park has been built? Maybe you have those numbers in the same briefcase as your Culver's projections.

Parking lots, I got no stats, but Gamboa and Simonson have stories. |
