...and keep creating Cub troll posts? Sure, they can twist it with statements about needing to respond to the Cubs dellusional media hype but these guys clearly don't know how to accept the positive attention the Cubs are getting.

Hell, the White Sox fans on this very board can't stop posting about the Cubs. How do they expect the media to talk about the Sox, when they can't even get their WhiteSox spring training thread to two pages

It's also disingenuous to talk about future of Rondon while at the same time attacking Cub fans for talking about the future of Bryant.

Because Cubs fans never troll, right Juiced?

Back to back posts of trolling. Horrible trolling at that.

The board is at sickening levels of trolling on prospects. I am going to send RPB some Five Hour Energy bottles to help him keep up the good fight.

RPB typically doesn't troll, and when he does its very obvious. He is also one of the few realistic Cubs fans here that is very levelheaded. Maybe those types of fans are in the majority, but they certainly are quiet.

Agree completely. He is the troll fighter. I am not accusing him of being a troll at all.

I agree with you about RPB, but I also feel like there are several of us Cub fans who have been saying basically the same thing, but if one guy says anything that is unrealistic you guys let it completely drown out the others who are realistic.

A few things:

I care about the Cubs because fuck the Cubs. Fuck their owner, fuck their GM and goddamn how white can one organization be. Salt Lake City has more dark people in management than the Omaha Red Cubs.

The amount of national attention they get is because they get writers to pimp their prospects on blogs, then give those writers jobs as repayment. It's a sham. The whole thing is a PR stunt.

Its RODON NOT RONDON FUCK. If you made this mistake after he was drafted it was OK but he's been around for nearly a year now. R-O-D-O-N.

I dont want to be let in on it. I'm sure there's some inside joke, because everywhere I look this shit is being done. It's annoying.

You are right. I should be able to remember the only top prospect the WhiteSox have on their team.

I never said or implied that you did. Not surprised that you completely missed the point. I gave you two prime examples of Cubs fans trolling.

Juiced, maybe the better question you should ask is that why are Cubs fans-- with their team sitting on a mountain of minor league talent, a "shrine" that is getting rebuilt, Joe Maddon, and Saint Theo-- so obsessed with the Sox subdivision?

I'll save you the trouble and answer the question for you right here. Its because the big league club on the Southside is better than the Cubs, and closer to winning a World Series today than your team is.

That part I get. It's the same way I view the other teams around the leagues that I don't root for. I don't know about the whiteness thing, never even think about that when saying screw a sports organization, but I could also see the media coverage being an issue. It would be hypocritical of me to lament the way East coast teams seem to be covered and then tell someone not to feel the same way about my team.

Trolling? Alexei Ramirez had 7 home runs in the second half last season. Jose Abreu had 7 home runs in the second half last season.

Alexei did it in less at-bats / plate appearances.

For HALF of Jose Abreu's career, Alexei Ramirez has had more home run power.

And if you don't agree with that, “Dolphin is 53 years old and his office is at 250 N. Warshington. Anytime you want to meet him there, you tell him what time and he'll meet you there. He'll whip your ass. You got that, wonder boys? It’s easy to hide behind a computer. Let’s get out in public and see who the gutless wonder is.”

Yes, trolling. When you actively choose to ignore the 3-and-a-half month timeframe in which Abreu hit more HRs and drove in more runs than almost everybody else in MLB, you are trolling bigtime.

Edit- Abreu lead MLB in homers, and was 2 RBIs back of the MLB lead at the AS break last year. For the record, he was 88th in MLB in number of at bats.

Jose Abreu would be lucky to hit as many career home runs as Alexei Ramirez.

What about the other half when he hit the same number as Alexei Ramirez?

There's a reason why IMU and I pointed out he had many "just barely" homers. His run wasn't sustainable and once the effect of HGH wore off he'd come back to Earth. We were right.

And now in Arizona he has....zero.

"just barely."

I will say the same thing I said to that asinine post back then. If a ball clears the fence by 2', or 100' its still counts as a home run. If a team wins a ball game by a score of 2-1, or 10-0, it still counts as one win.

Post subject:  Re: How can Sox Subdivision say they don't care about the Cu

his homers were longer than rizzo's so that's all that matters.
