10. That Big Jim Thompson didn’t screw the taxpayers royally with this last minute deal to keep the Sox from moving to Florida.
9. That the Cell is not one of the worst ballparks in the majors (keep putting lipstick on that pig though).
8. That the area around the park is going to become a destination.
7. That Reinsdorf is a great owner.
6. That Sox fans are the really, really knowledgeable baseball fans in Chicago.
5. That the Ligues are not representative of White Sox fans.
4. That Frank Thomas is not a big pussy.
3. That the 2005 team was not a once in a generation fluke of epic proportions.
2. That it doesn’t matter that the Sox whored themselves out to gamblers and sold the World Series in 1919.
1. That anybody outside of a very small group of South Side inbreds really cares about the Sox at all.

Honorable Mentions:
That Ozzie is a good manger and not a clueless semi-literate clown.
That Kenny has any idea what he’s doing.
That the South Side does not suffer from a Grand Canyon sized inferiority complex when it comes to the North Side.

I await (and will enjoy) the poorly written responses from Sox fans.

How about -
"Frank Thomas never used PED's"
I'm not saying he did, but how can Sox fans take it as gospel that he never did?

For the same reason that Cubs fans think Greg Maddux never did.

I've always said it is difficult to believe that a person who played SEC football during the roidiest of years hadn't been exposed to them.

Some guys don't need to put mass on or build muscle, Frank is clean IMO.. Natural career arc and never changed body size..look @ him now, he's a beast.

One of my favorite "Cubbie Nation" things is acting like Theo winning the World Series with the Cubs would be some monumental historic accomplishment and almost certainly propel him to being a hall of fame GM and one of the great stories in sports history.

Yet Kenny did roughly the same thing for the White Sox and it was a fluke.

Theo hasn't won anything with the Cubs yet. There is however a very good chance the Cubs will win more than one. Theo did build a team that won two championships in Boston. Look up apples and oranges in the dictionary and you will find a picture of Theo next to a picture of Kenny.

If Theo wins a championship with the Cubs would it be the same thing as what Kenny did with the White Sox?

They haven't won one since before the fucking Model T came out but now they have a good chance to win more than one in the next few seasons.

He built one with the Red Sox. He rode coattails on the first.

For the same reason that Cubs fans think Greg Maddux never did.

You need someone better than Maddux for that comparison.

3 titles with two different teams is equal to 1 title with one team?

Why? Just like Frank, his body type/mass hasn't changed since he retired. :)

Yep! Those PEDs probably put an extra couple of miles on that 85-mph fastball!

Id go with Aramis Ramirez

I mean, maybe Maddux did them. I cant guarantee he didnt but there are better examples.

No, I don't. Maddux is the perfect comparison.

Feel free to explain why he isn't.

I think you're misunderstanding what people are saying.

If he won with the Cubs it would be the cherry on top of an already great career (2 more WS titles than most GMs in history)

If someone is out there saying the Cubs title alone would make him a a Hall of Famer, then Ill be on your side in that argument.

Frank was always big and has stayed big and never got huge either.

So Maddux didn't use because he started off small and stayed small?

There are a lot of people saying that winning one with the Cubs would be a lot more impressive than the average World Series win given the Cubs history. Do you agree with them?

If so, do you also agree that the same is true for the White Sox in 2005?

I dont know if Maddux used or not.

Frank certainly got bigger. He was always one of the bigger guys but he was bigger in year 15 than year 1

Winning a title is impressive anywhere.

I dont think doing it in a place with a long title drought really changes the accomplishment (although people's perception will be different)

The White Sox from 11 years ago are not necessarily better than the ones from 99 years ago just because they ended a drought.
