Quote in the paper today: "I don't watch baseball on TV. It's hard to be a fan after having gone through it."

Sounds like the perfect White Sox emissary! He'd be a perfect replacement for Hawk!

Saw some of it, seemed genuine and well done....

Still don't understand why? ...outside of pimping Paulie.

They basically did it last year.

Of course it does no harm...except continuation of the strange "Family" thing going on at the cell.

Was Fisk or Bo there?

Actually watched it so we can see the redhead kid who was on the video of his fave Paulie moment. Playing golf with his Dad.

Hawk kept saying all week the game was a sellout and only standing room was available yet they announce 38,714 (95.3% full).

Last Saturday at Wrigley with the right field bleachers still under construction the announced crowd was
38,883 (94.8% full).

Is the Cell really that much smaller than Wrigley? I thought they were close to the same size.

More fans at a Cubs Pirates game than at Paulie's game? How can that be....

First of all, I would bet a lot of money that there were more people at that game yesterday than there have been at any other baseball game in Chicago this season.

But, of course the Sox fuck everything up. At 1:00 there were lines snaking all around the park for a 3:15 game. I assume this was to get that statue. Imagine standing in that fucking line and having the last one handed out right before you. It probably cost's $20,000 to buy 20,000 of those statues and it would cost about $25,000 to buy 50,000 of them. Why not give everyone a statue? Now, you finally got these people out to the ballpark and half of them are pissed off. I saw "adults" storming about in anger because they didn't get a fucking statue.

It is amazing how stupid some of these marketing people are. So does the White Sox experience still include Nazi SS security types??

Boyer is a terrible marketing director or VP of marketing or whatever he is.
He can't get people to the park. When they do they fuck it up.
Bring you dog night? Really. That's the best they can do? Bring your dog.
I hate dogs. And people bring their dog I'm sure there's going to be dog shit around the park instead of just on the field.

All they need to do is play for the Sox. They'll make a statue of you when you retire.

Have had 3 conversations with Brooks. He works hard, good guy, great employee....but shouldn't be top marketing guy...nobody likes Brooks ideas more than Brooks.

I don't doubt he's a nice guy. But who gives a shit? His results blow. Blow big time. He's got a contending team that he can't market with any original ideas.
Course Jerry doesn't fire people who are awful at their jobs.
But if anyone in management should be fired it's boyer. He sucks.

contending team? they're a game out of last, 8 games behind, almost June!

They SUCK! they WERE theoretically a contending team but fans don't care about theories.

don't blame Brooks for 35 years of ineptitude.
