He's turned Stone back into the guy who sounds like he's instructing a team of Little Leaguers. I guess some people like that sort of thing.

Actually found myself taking in a few games without the idiot haunting the booth ... and I don't really dig Chuck on the radio either ... which only furthers how bad Hawk is - I much prefer a guy calling the game that I don't otherwise particularly care for calling a game.

Move Hawk to a Siragusa-type role where they can open his mic for a few seconds to blather on about something then cut if off shortly thereafter.

Guessing Hawk talks to very players....except when he says 'Hola Amigo"

I find Hawk saying crazy shit eminently more entertaining than Stone talking down to me like he's giving a lesson.

I find it comforting. Like kindergarten all over again. Baseball isn't supposed to be all EXCITING!! AND ANGRY!! its supposed to be calm and relaxing.

True. I actually prefer it on the radio where more attention must be paid to describing the action. I may even try the Herb Spiegel method of turning the TV sound off and playing classical music.

Find it better when 2 guys have a conversation.....and dont get me wrong, Kasper and DeShais aint all that.....but when you have people that not only seem to dislike each other, but it is fact and has had to be dealth with as an issue....it comes through on the broadcast...

As long as its not too upsetting. Classical music can be quite harsh at times.

It was a mistake to pair Stone with Hawk. That was just Jerry trying to stick it to the Cubs and doubling his pleasure by hiring a lonsman.

TIL the word "lonsman".

For the rest of the class: A Jew. Often a term of endearment between Jews, connoting kinship, common ground.

you dont have a conversation with steve stone. you ask stone a question, then he proceeds to answer his own version of what question he actually wants to answer and he doesnt shut up for 10 minutes during his long rambling answer. I cant stand stone on WSCR and i would not miss him if someone less arrogant took his place in the sox booth

Swirskey sucks @ his bulls job and the Sox gig, but in 4 days he's already better than that dickbag hawk ..that's bad..almost impossible ..like losing a 2-1 game in extra innings impossible, when your opponent has 4 errors ! Or I should say Era's like harrelson.
