I have to say the Sox have been smart the last few years. Get a top rated college pitcher, use him up and sign him long if it works or cut bait before they get too expensive. Easier to get position players than buy pitching later. Not so good on buying those positions but... I think this is opposite of Cubs but that doesn't matter.
