As for the White Sox, Trout is calling for longtime owner Jerry Reinsdorf to sell the team and mentions the name of the colorful owner of the NBA's Dallas Mavericks as an ideal replacement. "He has been there for 35 years and he has been there long enough. I think we need a Mark Cuban to run the team or someone who is going to be around more and more energetic around the fans," Trout said. "That is the kind of owner I want to see and I want to see a new owner come to the White Sox and get it going over there." White Sox spokesman Scott Reifert responded by saying, "Steve — like every other fan — is entitled to his opinion on whatever topic he chooses to address." |

No better way to get on Jerrys good side than telling him to sell to Cuban. Jerry would sooner contract and eliminate the Sox before selling them to Cuban. |

Who the hell cares what Steve Trout thinks about anything? If he were on fire in my backyard I'd close the blinds. |

About 20 years ago I found myself pitted against Trout in vying for the affections of Ron Kittle's niece after a charity softball game in NW Indiana. Good times. |
