Post subject:  White Sox manager Robin Ventura to miss weekend series
The whole series for graduation? At least it is not for 8th grade.

His daughter is graduating from high school in California, so White Sox manager Robin Ventura will miss the team’s weekend series against the Rays to be in attendance.

Bench coach Mark Parent will fill in as manager and minor league hitting coordinator Vance Law will be temporarily added to the coaching staff as the fill-in bench coach.

Ventura is in his fourth season as manager and came under some fire following the White Sox’s terrible start, but now they’re nearing .500 at 28-30 thanks to going 18-14 in the last 32 games.
