Chicago White Sox @whitesox 23m23 minutes ago White Sox have also designated infielder Conor Gillaspie for assignment. And reinstate Matt Albers from the DL. Surprised Sox fans? What happened to this guys bat?? |

Didn't he hit like .340 in the 1st half last season playing virtually every day?? |

Bout time though I have a feeling he'll go unclaimed and end up at Triple A Charlotte. At least he's off the 40-man. |

bigfan wrote: Good Dolphins guy! Some smart manager is going to see that his skills dictate a platoon existence rather than everyday starting. Then he will go on to hit .300 in that role and probably even improve his defense with the reduced stress. Ventura, KW and the rest are not SMART MANAGERS. |

Except that this is really the first season he has been playing as a platoon guy, and his defense and offense are both far worse than they have been the last two years. |

Now you can have "The Answer" as your new guy... Tyler Saladino! Cany deny he has been fine since being called up....however, I will take the UNDER wager on the long term. |

wtf is beckham still doing on the team... sanchez too? If laroche is playing in the field your starting infield is barely hitting .200, it was a good thing they lost 3 of 4, it's time to blow it up, stop pretending this can be salvalged |

A third baseman with no glove needs his slugging percentage to be higher than .393, which is lower than noted power hitter, Alexei Ramirez. If he truly had gap power, the Sox would have found a place for him in this pathetic lineup. He can't run, and he strikes out more twice for every walk he draws. The Sox are better off with somebody who can throw the leather around. He isn't some kid just waiting to break out. He is 28. You were wrong about him. It's okay. We have all been wrong about players before. |

We have all been wrong about players before. spraying to all fields with that response In 2014, he had 31 doubles (8th among 3rd basemen), 5 triples (3rd) and a slugging % of .416 (11th). So getting back to my original correction, yes he does have power, just not home run power. |

he sucks man. give it up. 11th in SLG? Big whoopdeedoo. pitchers just laid the pitches in there so he would never walk. he defense was beyond horrible. unfortunate since he had the rarest skill which is actually being able to make contact. the rest of the stuff you should be able to improve with hard work. |

It's awesome because even if he sucks in future series, he can always think "we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for me." Get out of Jail card for the rest of the postseason. Edit: and it is an even numbered year which means the Giants need to win. |

“Kris Bryant, in the running for MVP, will probably get a leg up on most guys there (in the National League). He’s got 36 home runs and 91 RBIs. And he’s a good third baseman, but you know, he’s not Conor Gillaspie.” |
