For a 6'5 225 LB brother, he sure hits like a Punch and Judy. Only 22 career HRs in just over 1000 AB's.....

Also this is his 4th year in pro ball, and has still not made it to AA yet.

This is funny because I don't know one Sox fan who has ever uttered the words "Keon Barnum".

That's even worse, considering he was a #1`draft pick.

He's only 23, maybe he can come back as a pitcher a la Brian Anderson.

I've never cared about draft picks in my life. This seems to be a modern thing where the fan roots for the front office rather than for the guys on the field. I blame fantasy sports.

All kidding aside, and this has nothing to do with goofy Cubs-Sox stuff, I really believe the fascination with front offices rather than players is part and parcel of our modern Gilded Age. People aspiring to be members of "the ruling class" rather than those doing the actual field work (in spite of the fact that these particular field workers earn millions). It's really a metaphor for our times.
