I have a dream/fantasy:Mark Cuban buys the Blancos and moves the team to Havana. He could make billions with this move. Be even bigger than Clark and Addison with a whole gianttourist complex near the beach. Maybe even a casino. I have not been to Comiskey in years and will never go again no matter what. I know where I am not wanted. But I would go to Havana for a few weeks of sun and baseball fun every year. This would be yuuuuuuge. |

White Sox could "return" in Chicago but not at US Cellular and not with the Jerry ownership group. |

This might work, but first Disney needs to buy CUBA, then maybe they would allow Cuban to buy the Cubas.... |

I don't doubt that Cuba will have a team in my lifetime. |

This is a great idea. No sarcasm. If you can have a team in Canada, why not ? |

The White Sox are one of the few franchises in sports with huge unrealized potential. The hapless Mets are worth roughly double the White Sox right now, and the Clippers sold for massive money sharing a town with the Lakers.I have not been to Comiskey in years and will never go again no matter what. Cuba may get a team but it's going to take decades for the people of Cuba to catch up economically. |

I think new ownership can do a lot to improve the profile of the White Sox simply by not being so standoffish and weird toward their customers the way the Reinsdorf regime is. Hell, now that the sun is setting on the Blackhawks, they might even get John McDonough to run the team. |

Tourists would flock to fill the seats in a Cuban ballpark. they could make the upper deck seats cheap, so locals could afford them more easily and sell the best seats to tourists predominantly. I would go for a Cubs series there first chance I got. I hope Cuba goes back to being like it was before Castro, when my grandfather used to go every year and it was a vacation paradise. |

Just like they do in Miami?I can't imagine going to Cuba for vacation, and instead choosing to sit in the heat in the stadium in August rather than the pool or beach. |

In case you are not aware, most MLB games are played at night, when the hot daytime temperatures are no longer an issue and it would be more comfortable. Miami is perhaps a great reference. I went to a Marlins/Braves game this season there. Beautiful ballpark, with a retractable roof, but too often they have a bad team. When they do have a good team, it's not for long. But I am surprised even with a bad team, they don't draw better. |

Maybe part of the reason the Marlins have such bad attendance is because of Broward/PBC iterations of shitheads like Elmhurst Steve who don't want to venture into The Dirty City with all the ethnics. Have you seen Little Havana? |

Promotional Event ideas for the Habana Whites Sox... 1. In honor of the 1959 American League Champion White Sox, they will give away one of the many 1959 cars that are still tooling around the island. 2. Exploding Cigar Day - Free Loaded Cohibas to the first 10,000 bearded fans. 3. Minnie Monoso & Jose Abreu Day (No real sarcasm here) 4. Turn Back the Clock Day - Players will be wearing Camouflage Fatigue uniforms. 5. Bacardi Rum & Coke Stadium Cup Give Away. 6. Dominos Tournament between games at a Sunday Double Header. 7. The Bertucci Family will be grilling free Cuban Sandwiches on Wednesdays. 8. Free Flak Jacket Mondays 9. Free Mortar Show Saturdays after the game. 10. Inflatable Raft Fridays. 11. Say Hello to My Little Friend Night - Midgets get in free. |

Sox should totally be Cuba's team of preference. go down there and play some exhibitions. hire some old coach for the PR value. Sox can't figure out a good thing if it slaps them in the face. |
