Renny brought the best new player in to town this off season out of either side of town |

As a neutral observer, fairly obvious that the Sox will have a higher increase in wins than the Cubs. |

All things being equal, they dramatically weakened the Cardinals which would theoretically provide more wins, the Pirates, Reds, and Brewers will all be weaker, as well. So theoretically, they should win more by virtue of other teams in their division being worse. Of course, that is not how it usually plays out, but the Cubs are the only team in the NL Central getting better this offseason. |

Hahn has the best job in Chicago. Every successful move is attributed to him. Every failure is blamed on Kenny. |

They will not win 110 games. |

I'd set the over under @ 100. Ridiculous was you thinking they wouldn't make the playoffs last year Jorrnochio. |

New Sox 3rd sacker had a miserable 2nd half last year. Overall,I don't think the Sox gave up too much for a very good 3rd basemen. If Laroche could have a rebound season, they will have a halfway decent lineup. |

Cubs won 97 last year. Heyward adds 4 wins because of his WAR compared to Fowler. Lackey adds 10 wins over last year. Zobrist adds 3. That's 114. And that doesn't even count the Babe Ruths getting better. |

Would 100 wins be good enough for second place in the NL Central? |

110 wins, 114 wins. Good golly y'all. The Cards win the division until further notice. You seen Piscotty's stats? Et al. The Cubs are one starting pitching regression away from being a 90 win team. Making the playoffs is no guarantee, expect Heyward to struggle at least out of the gate. |

It is in serious jeopardy. |

In all seriousness though Kirkwood, I believe the MLB record is actually 108 years and its not in all that serious of jeopardy. |

Jake had a once in a lifetime season. He regresses to the mean and that's 4-6 less wins right there. |
