So you're saying he's already in mid-season form.

Quintana usually has an ERA of like 20 in ST. Sox pitchers don't take it seriously.

Maybe the Dodgers would be interested in danks

Ha. With Anderson out 3-5 months (shocking!) they are in the market for a below average left handed pitcher and as they've shown over and over (and over and over) again they have absolutely no problem with pissing away mountains of money.

I like this guy SANDS. Looks like he could launch one at any time. At least the pitcher has to pay attention.

I think there probably is a deal to be made with the Dodgers for Danks but you'd likely have to take back one of the deals they'd like to get rid of, like Crawford.

I think if Turner, Latos, and Johnson all look like they can give you quality innings, there's a bigger, better deal to be made with the Dodgers for Quintana. You're not gonna get Seager, but they look to have a lot of good young guys.

I'd rather just buck up and roll with Danks for his last year of the deal.

I, on the other hand, would not. I would prefer never to see Danks throw another pitch.

I'm with JORR on this.

I still can't believe Kenny gave him that contract.

would you rather have Crawford for many shitty years or Danks for one?

No, but that was just an example of something the Dodgers might like to do. I'm sure they want to get rid of Puig too, but they're obviously not going to give him away. Like I said, if the Sox think they have enough rotation depth I think there's a bigger and better deal to be made for Quintana.

No doubt.

I, for the life of me, cannot understand why the Sox and Cubs were not in talks this off season other than both sides being gun shy about getting destroyed should the deal not work for them.

The Sox have very little rotation depth after steadily trading it away for 2 offseasons. Turner is off the scrap heap and last time Erik Johnson pitched in the majors he had a mental breakdown and disappeared for a calender year. Danks and Latos are far from sure things.

So he is the White Sox version of Kerry Wood!

That contract looked like a steal when it was signed. Danks was pretty damn good for a couple years there, and probably would've continued to be good if he didn't bust his shit.

and the alternative was a huge contract that Buehrle would never live up to

In hindsight, no move was going to work

Johnson went 3-1 with a 3.34 in 35 MLB innings last year after being his leagues pitcher of the year. The six MLB starts in 2015 were greater than the number the Sox gave him in 2014. He has more than earned a chance to prove himself again.

Latos came into this camp hurt, so I agree that they need six starters.

White Sox Files filled with Dodgers propsects they want. Another reason not to share a facility with any other team, especially an inferior team
