I listened to this guy for a half inning today and he went through all kinds of old time craziness. On and on about the importance of the two hole hitter in spite of the fact that SABRmetrics has proven that batting order is meaningless. And then more crap about the "protection" myth, as if the mere presence of Todd Frazier batting behind him will somehow magically make Jose Abreu hit better despite mountains of statistical evidence to the contrary. If I'm gonna listen to these folksy wive's tales from the 50s I'd much prefer they come from Hawk who will at least couch them in some colorful language rather than this goof who states this bullshit as if he is some learned professor imparting his unique wisdom to the ignorant viewers. |

might not help abreu but should help Frazier since league average OPS is 50 points higher with a man standing on first. |
