Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. The fact that most college kids are coming out after one year suggests that a lottery pick is far from a sure thing. Even if the Bulls got the first pick there's always the possibility that they could guess wrong and land a Michael Beasley type player.

If you look at the Bulls recent first round draft history you'll see that the first round is hardly a sure thing: Elton Brand, Ron Artest, Marcus Fizer, Chris Mihm, Eddy Curry, Jay Williams, Kirk Hinrich, Ben Gordon, LaMarcus Aldridge, Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose. It isn't like the NFL where most of the first rounders will be stars.

Hinrich, Gordon, and Noah were good picks when they were made. Aldridge was a good pick too, but the decision to trade him for Tyrus Thomas was obviously a misfire.

i wish they would just pay college players and force them to play 4 years before they are elligible for the nba.
