The Bulls had drafted Magic. It was a real possibility (lost the coin flip)back in 79. There would not have been Jordan but could they have got it done without him?

That's an interesting question. I don't think having Kareem hurt Magic's development. It's possible both are viewed differently if this happens.

Gilmore was an elite center and Theus was an elite scoring guard. The Bulls would have given teams (including Boston) fits.

Michigan State repeats as national champions? Would've been something to see Magic feeding George Gervin tho; assuming the Iceman still finds his way to Chicago.

I thinks he still comes out. It would have been tough to get on the Lakers the following year and Chicago was the 2nd largest city at the time. He comes out. Hadn't ever heard that til today.

Gilmore 6 years with the Bulls 2 playoffs...that's elite?

He's in the Hall of Fame. That strongly suggests that he was elite.

He was generally regarded as a top 5 Center. That makes him elite as well.

Bite me I remeber him and Pembrook Borrows getting their ass kick by UCLA...the reason he went to the ABA was Kareem would have bitch slapped him

He may have been a top 3 Center. I haven't gone through all of them.

In whose NBA world is an 11 time all star not elite? I know who. The same idiot that repeatedly says that Ben Simmons is a bum because he can't shoot. The same idiot that says Brad Stephens is a terrible coach because he has no rings. Oh yeah that idiot's world.

In my world you got to have a shot which he doesn't....I don't know where I said Stevens is a bad coach? At least I know how to spell his name( that's the 2nd time I had to correct you ) If you and this board think the A train is a top 3 all time center you don't know shit :D

Stevens/Stephens big deal. You know the person that I am talking about. Then again maybe you don't. As far as as Gilmore goes he may have been a top 3 center in the league at the time he played for the Bulls. Moses Kareem and who else? I'd have to search for others but he was in the conversation for top 3. Apparently you don't know the difference between "elite" and "top 3 all time". I never said top 3 all time but since you struggle with what "is" is then its no surprise that you'd immediately start spinning and deflecting.

In the case of Simmons he has to have a shot to do what exactly? Be great? He is already on his way to being great without it.

Magic Johnson couldn't shoot but it didn't prevent him from being an all time great player. Shooting for 6'10 guys isn't exactly a requirement to be great. He does everything else well to exceptional. Even in this "stretch" four era you can be a great player without being a shooter. You sound stupid but continue to belabor your silly ass point.

Dim bulb strikes again. At the time that Gilmore Played with the Bulls Wilt was out the league. Cowens was on his way out. Walton was already beginning to break down and Willis Reed was out the league and McAdoo was a damn backup somewhere. I will simply end it there.

Malone and Kareem were the only two that were head and shoulders above him. He made the damn All Star team at the age of 36 which demonstrates that he was still playing at an elite level.

You sound dumb continuing (once again) to argue that a Hall of Fame guy wasn't very good.

Gilmore was a helluva player. You are a damn joke.

One thing is for certain. Gilmore was a much better player than you are poster.

11 Time All Star. Enough said. Should have would have could have. He averaged 19 and 10 as a 35 year old center at a time when the league still had good centers. This is getting embarrassing though for you its par for the course.

You can't even get make a coherent argument.

Gilmore entered the NBA at 27. As an NBA player He avg 17 and 10. This was the case despite not really doing jackshit his last 3 three years in the league.

He would have been a Hall of Fame center regardless. His first few years in the league he still avg about the same number of points and rebounds as he avg in the ABA.

No matter how you try and spin it he was regarded as a great center.

You sound like an idiot (par for the course) continuing to argue a point that i never made.

Artis Gilmore during the time he played for the Bulls was arguably a top 3 Center. Being a top 3 Center would make him Elite unless you can find 3 guys better during that period you are wrong. I never ranked him All Time nor did i compare him to guys that were retired Wilt. Continuously arguing points Your specialty that people have never made renders you to be a fool.

Oh I get it when there were a bunch of shitty centers in the league Artis was elite....also you never came up were I said Stevens was a bad coach because he didn't have any rings?!

Moses and Kareem were still in the league. So was Lanier. Gilmore was better.

As far as Stevens goes i took a few "rhetorical liberties". The same sort of rhetorical liberties that you are taking right now.

You let it be known that you weren't much of a fan. Either that or you think he is overrated.

The argument pertaining to Gilmore not being elite because he only made 2 playoffs in 6 years is stupid too.
