This is getting ridiculous, folks! I don't know about you, but I think Jerry Reinsdorf should simply name his General Manager John Paxson the Bulls' next head coach. After all, Paxson drafted the likes of Luol Deng, Ben Gordon, Kirk Hinrich, Tyrus Thomas & Joakim Noah, plus traded for Drew Gooden and Larry Hughes, along with their bad contracts. Another part of my reason for simply naming Paxson is that the Bulls will NOT offer a contract to Avery Johnson. I'm also not so sure the Detroit Pistons will grant permission to assistant Michael Curry & the Boston Celtics are in the midst of another playoff dogfight with the Cleveland Cavaliers right now. I'm also starting to wonder if Glenn "Doc" Rivers will grant Tom Thibodeau, whose name I keep misspelling, any permission at all to Paxson until the Celtics are eliminated or advance to the next round. The NBA Draft Lottery is fast approaching next Tuesday, with the Draft itself not far behind. GET IT DONE ALREADY!!!

It doesn't matter who the coach is when the draft happens. Pax is goingto choose whomever he and Jer want no matter who's coaching. As long as they have a coach b4 camp, that's all that matters.

At this point, unless they hire Avery Johnson, it appears we're going to have to be extremely patient and wait for some of these playoff teams to allow us to interview. It also appears likely that we are going to get a coach with no head coaching experience. That's the reality of the situation and hopefully Paxson can make some moves that allow this coach to be more successful.

If you don't want him as the GM anymore, making him the coach may be the fastest way to get rid of him since he'd probably resign after a couple years of average/below average teams.

For the record, I am not calling for his firing.

There are a couple of reasons why I suggested John Paxson in the dual role of Head Coach & General Manager for the Bulls, and I point one finger at his boss, Jerry Reinsdorf. I don't buy his crap for a second about Mike D'Antoni "misleading" him, as he told the Trib. Jerry NEVER made the rumored offer, and I never understood why he was going to wait until Sunday to make his pitch to get him. The other reason is because the Pistons & Celtics aren't going to give Pax permission necessarily to talk to assistants Tom Thibodeau or Michael Curry unless their teams are either eliminated or have a few days between series in these NBA Playoffs.

My Dear Friends of the NBA persuasion,
After watching the NBA playoffs the last couple weeks, I must stress that the Bulls are WOEFULLY lacking talent from just about every position, and that they are not likely to be competitive for some time to come. It was like watching a Patriots game after watching a Bears game. Complete difference in professionalism.
I put the blame of this bad team directly at the feet of one John Paxson. Oh sure, he was a great player and the Bulls fans love him, but other than that what have we gotten accomplished with this team that he has created?
It does not matter who you have leading this team on the sidelines when you have Hinrich leading this team between the baselines.
They are an awful team.
A coach will not change that. Not next year.
Your Dear Friends,
Evil Indiana J.A.C.K.
