What's solid mean? 45 wins and a 4th or 5th seed with no shot at a ring?

ESPN NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski recently discussed how much he believes in the Bulls rebuild. He stated that they have "come out of the other side of the trade deadline with a core of young players and a coach that they're ready to go forward with."
Woj focused on how the Bulls have a core of players that are 25 years old or younger in Otto Porter, Wendell Carter Jr., Lauri Markkanen and Zach LaVine.
Along with the roster itself, Woj focused on the fact that management is in full support of head coach Jim Boylen, who has helped improve the Bulls' overall toughness and team culture.
He also touted Jim Boylen's perception around the league as great tactician who is a great teacher as well. Woj of course brought up the fact that there is uncertainty surrounding whether or not Boylen will be the long-term coach, but certainly expects him to be the coach for next year (2019-2020 season).
With some solid additions in free agency to add experience to the Bulls' roster and shore up point guard and general depth issues, Wojnarowski said that he believes that the Bulls can be "challenging for a playoff spot in the East as soon as next year."

Good to know Woj’s actual basketball thoughts are roughly on par with mine while I’m pittmike levels of drunk.

Wojnarowski doesn't get all those insider tips by being honest about the capabilities / performance of a career assistant like Boylan. A lil public smoke-up-the-arse today will pay dividends down the road when Boylan's back to riding shotgun as an assistant.

Woj should be ashamed of himself. It's like he's letting KC Johnson ghost write his articles now.

Elfrid Payton will be the starting PG next season...and you’ll like it.

Markie will never be a superstar if he doesn't learn how to dribble the ball lower...his drives to the basket are out of control and he has zero low post moves. I don't expect Kevin McCale but at least Lopez, for chrissakes!

Our most talented player is Lavine, but his awesome athletisism is not being exploited properly. We should make the playoffs next year, barring a draft bust.

yep, draft doesn't matter. This team would be just as good going forward with Wendell Carter as opposed to Luka Doncic, Trae Young, Ayton, Bagley or JJJ.

This year same deal. Who needs Zion or Ja Morant when you can just have Romeo Langford instead. Same difference.

Step 1: Draft Ja
Step 2: there is no step 2, kick back and relax
Step 3: win 5 of the next 10 NBA Finals

What did he go? 9-27 and 4-14 from 3? Shakes loves him. Thinks he will rule the league soon.

Maybe as a role player. Didn’t impress me a lot but he’s good.

I’m getting more curious about this Darius Garland guy now that I’m looking to the non top 2 prospects.

SF Porter
PF Markkanen
C Carter
SG LeVine
PG ?????

It's a team that can make a big step forward with a competent veteran PG. I would imagine they will look at this position closely in the draft and complement him with some Beverly/Rubio type.

Good season, but don't trust that. I guess if they complement him with a rookie....
