Now that Derrick Rose has been drafted #1 by the hometown Bulls, someone has to go. It appears as if Chris Duhon is all but gone, as the New York Knicks are prepared to offer Chris a $6 million, two-year deal to play basketball next season at Madison Square Garden. There have also been trade rumors involving Kirk Hinrich, but his big contract might scare teams away, as is Larry Hughes. There have even been rumors of a possible sign & trade involving Ben Gordon & Luol Deng, who both turned down extensions early last season. Bulls fans, with Rose on board, who is "No Longer Bullish" on this roster?

Hinrich's contract is not "big" in NBA terms. In fact it will be less than both Gordon and Deng will be paid once their contracts are finalized. I think Captain Kirk is a goner since he has some trade value (Golden State just joined a pretty large group of teams in need of a point guard). It could be Gordon, however, if he seems inclined to become an unrestricted FA after the season.

if Kirk and his dribbling through 15 seconds of the shot clock is gone, I'm even more bullish...in the stock market sense, if that's what we're talking...

I am definitely "Bullish" on Derrick Rose, but I'd like to think Kirk Hinrich, Ben Gordon and Chris Duhon are definitely expendable from this roster. That was what I meant by "No Longer Bullish".

So, I'm guessing that Josh Smith is just wishful thinking eh? I'd trade anyone but Rose for him. Although I'd like to keep Thomas or Gooden...

If I'm not mistaken, Josh Smith is a restricted free agent, and I thought I read something that he was meeting with the rival Detroit Pistons...If that's the case, the Atlanta Hawks would then have the right to match any deal the Pistons or any other team would make for him.

I think I know what you mean, SHARK. as for J. Smith, his numbers and game are impressive when he is motivated...however, he is as bad a malcontent and as lazy as Tyrus. despite the talent, I don't think we need that, and there's no veteran leadership to whip him into shape should he decend into perpetual laziness...having said that, he did have to play for the Hawks...Maybe that did it to him...

I think Smith is finally starting to get it. I see him as a star in the next couple of years.

I think his numbers & helping to get the Hawks into the playoffs show he has grown up quite a bit. Tyrus Thomas wishes he was Smith

Tyrus Thomas wishes he was Joakim Noah.
