Ever since Tony Jones and Sam Amick told us about Denver possibly eyeing Zach LaVine, I haven’t been able to get this trade idea out of my head. I’m fascinated by the potential. A few months ago, we thought LaVine’s contract was untradeable – maybe not so much now. Denver is rolling, so it will probably feel very good about its situation. Offering Michael Porter Jr, Dario Šarić and Vlatko Čančar works under the trade rules. The question is whether or not Denver would still consider this idea.

Lavine has been on a scoring binge and could help a team in need of offense (assuming they have the matching trade assets). Then again, he’s been on the market for 2+ seasons now with no apparent interest.

It seemed like a couple weeks ago this was on track to happen eventually. But I havent heard as much about it lately. Definitely needs to happen. Lavine is not helping anything on this roster. And they have to keep their first round pick for this next draft.
