My only guess would be that something happened in practice and that's why Vinny benched him.

fuck tyrus's ego. if i were vinny i would do every weird move to his position i could. once tyrus snaps and freaks out about it, vinny then tells him "hey dude, it was a test. i had to see how much man you really are. you kinda failed".
