What exactly happened with Avery Johnson in Dallas? Seems Cuban was pretty willing to pay him to not coach the team. He had them playing some D and even though they pulled the chokejob against the Heat, he seemed to do an adequate job.

This is what I am hoping for. Someone would probably bite on Kirk, too...

Kirk will probably be a Laker next year. I would love for him to stick around though. He is their most versatile wing player. He could guard most 3's. He is a $6M a year guy making $9M though. Deng is fine. Yes he is overpaid by a James Johnson but 18 points and 7 boards while shooting 47% isn't as easy to come by as some of you may think. He just made 25 too.

He is a bad coach that pissed away an NBA title. Keep him away from Derrick Rose. Byron Scott has had a lot of success with PG's.

So would Bosh and maybe a lesser FA be enough to make them a Champion? Otherwise you've got to move Lou or Kirk (or both) to give yourself a chance...

If this team adds either Lebron, Wade, Bosh, or Johnson they are automatically a top 4 team in the east. Anything more than that is just extra.

It also really depends on where other guys go. If Lebron leaves Cleveland, that team would now be somewhere in the Eastern Conference blob of bad. Same goes with Miami and Wade, and Atlanta with Johnson. The only team in the East that will probably stay near the top is Orlando.

IMO Bosh and a SG that can shoot would put them over the top. They need shooters very badly. When Rose drives to the basket they don't have anyone that can knock down a jumper other than Deng. They don't have anyone that can knock down a 3 right now. That's why I like the idea of Bosh and Ray Allen and as many Eddie House's as you can get.

  Awesome Ike. Only problem is that will require about $15-18 more million in cap space than we have.

I hope they get Thibodeaux or Byron Scott as coach.

In order I would want:

1. LeBron
2. Wade

3. Bosh/Boozer/JJ

Havent decided who gets the edge on the three way tie. I dont like the way JJ is handling this postseason, but Rose would make life 10x easier on him. I'm not sure Bosh is mentally tough enough. Boozer is really growing on me.

Chris Bosh? Chris Bosh: 7 seasons in the NBA, managed to make the post-season in the weak Eastern Conference 2 times resulting in 0 playoff series won. Chris Bosh! Hey, Jay Cutler, you're off the hook, Chris Bosh is coming to town! Image

If they can't sign one of the top tier guys I would focus on the "medium" guys. They can get Ray Allen no matter who they sign with the MLE.

I am prepared for a jarring disappointment this off-season, and so I'm sticking with my Rudy Gay and Little Else prediction from a few months back.

IMO they will at least walk away with David Lee.

I would think JJ is higher on their list than him and I cant see walking away with less than that. I'm still hopeful Wade is seriously considering Chicago. I like the Ray Allen with the MLE idea but there will be plenty of competition for him at that price and I would think he could get a more promising shot at a title with another team.
