Do me a favor and simply explain why you think Portis is better.

I did.

tl;dr He is a more efficient scorer that gives you more rebounding and passing and is more reliable from 3P range in an NBA where the 3P is supremely important. He can play more positions reliably as he can stay in front of most threes and can play C in a pinch. Jabari is being put on skates by all forwards.

I just provided you a variety of reasons without statistics, your anathema. Google the word.

Nothing you said is true about Portis. Thanks for confirming something that I already knew anyway.

It is both true and documented.

Just like their similar career scoring avg was also.

I will once you figure out how to use it in its proper context. Nothing like a guy attempting to elevate his game but doesn't quite know how. Wait where I have seen this before?

I'm so glad to hear Otto will bring the same defensive tenacity night in and night out as the 2 Jamokes they got rid of

He's actually a good player, he's just not a difference maker IMO. It makes no sense to take on his contract.

This team is so far from the finish line it makes no sense.

Im perfectly okay with adding a guy who can close his mouth and open his ears, over what the NBA is full of at this point. Portis is a clown. Another self entitled footnote in the making.

Portis is a backup. Moving him along was the right call. Not the biggest Porter fan but he is a better player than Bobby Portis.

I like how you think you're catching me in something with that signature, when all it shows is that you don't understand the contexts in which you can use 'anathema.'

Thank goodness you're only a substitute.

Portis has TWTW. This will look bad for you over the next few years.

anathema noun
anath·e·ma | \ ə-ˈna-thə-mə
Definition of anathema
1a : one that is cursed by ecclesiastical authority

b : someone or something intensely disliked or loathed —usually used as a predicate nominative

Reasons without statistics is your anathema. I don't understand the issue here.

Well, statistics are anathema to LTG, not reasons without statistics, but yes. It is correct.

LTG will consult a more qualified educator and get straightened out today, I'm sure.

How can I "hate statistics" if I previously stated that I used them as Support mechanism?

You don't seem to realize that it is merely a support mechanism. For you its the Holy Bible. You can't have a basketball conversation without it turning into stats inc. I refer to it from time to time but you absolutely live by it.
This is why its a waste of time to engage in any sort of conversation with you.

Asking if Portis is better than Parker is like asking if Mick Kelleher was better than Davey Rosello on the 1976 Cubs.

Nah Stacey "Sky" King whose knowledge of basketball I respect a lot more than some message board dude named IMU, (who hypocritically was a Portis hater til about 20 minutes ago) says that Parker has "All Star Potential". This was stated after the trade it should be noted. The kid can play and before I take the words of guys that are wrong 80%-90% of the time I'll take his word.

As Joe Klein stated when comparing Hillary to Obama "She simply knows more"

Oh man I sure came out bad on that one. A guy that has been injured from the first moment he entered the league vs a guy that has never had an injury.

How is that "Mitchell For MVP campaign"going champ?

You shuffle more than Sammy Davis (while living). JOker still no better than 2nd Best Center in the league. 3rd with a fully functioning Boogie. He is cool but he aint no Embiid. Embiid is Legit MVP candidate. Joker is 8th/9th best material.

Embiid isDominating while Joker has been Dominant at times. Slight difference

Joker is going to finish higher in MVP voting than Embiid this year. He would be 3rd behind Giannis and Harden right now. And Embiid ducked him two weeks ago - fact, not trolling.

The coach rested him. If I asked you to provide evidence you couldn't. Embiid is a competitor. You have him third but remember you are the guy that also stated that he was a good defender. There isn't much credence in that.

For the record KAT destroyed the JOker a few days ago. I didn't want to reference it because I'm essentially tired of winning these little slapfests. Until you, IMU, and Vegan "the Conglomerate" step your game up I'm in chill mode. Got to get your weight up. The obliteration is becoming old hat at this point.

You never win any of these slap fights. You've consistently been wrong about the Joker since Day 1. Remember, you were also wrong about the Kyrie MVP thing here last year.

Let me help you out, so it's not just our opinions. This is the tool I used to beat you in the Kyrie MVP bet last year:

https://www.basketball-reference.com/friv/mvp.html

Joker is 3rd, Embiid is 9th.

I believe that's what we call the end of the discussion for the moment.

Kyrie another guy that you claimed to have won merely because he was injured.

I already completely obliterated you on Minnesota/Philly

You have been wrong about Embiid since day 1

You have been wrong on Ball. You liked him and he is a bum

You have been wrong about Fox

You have been wrong about Philly from day 1

You Were completely wrong about OKC/G.S. a few years ago

Kyrie Curry Matchup

Mitchell being "awesome". He is a one dimensional player and not even the "MVP" of his own team.

Wrong on Paul George/Butler. You care to have that discussion again? I doubt it.

WRong on Freak/Butler

For all of your "ridiculous" talk it is obvious that the guy that comes out on the wrong end the vast majority of the time is you.

As stated its old hat at this point. You will probably get a few law of average wins but that is about it. Even the generals were allowed to win a few here and there along the way.

Wrong on Markannen and tried to move the goalposts by claiming that you'd never seen him play.

Wrong on Okafor/Noel

I think LTG might be accusing FF of being wrong about Philly, but it is hard to tell.

No its not you're attempting to deflect. As usual. Feel free to address any of the points that were made. There are only about 12 of them.

Deflect? Well, I wouldn't want to make it seem like that is what I'm doing so I'll be clear.

You're wrong about this. You were wrong yesterday. You will be wrong tomorrow. You are usually wrong.

You've never once engaged in actual dialogue so there isn't any possible need to deflect, even if I felt my stance was not strongly supported by facts, statistics and the eye-test. Your modus operandi is well known. Those that engage you are masochists or optimists. We either don't want to enjoy our weekday afternoons or we think we can help you understand the sport. We are foolish either way.

We can do this all day.

I was right about Kyrie.

I was right about Markkanen.

I was right about Fultz.

I was right about Lonzo (always said he would be good, not great, and he will be).

I've been right about Philly since Day 1, although now that they added Butler AND Tobias Harris they may finally do something.

I can keep going on and on but nobody is gonna read this drivel except us. I seem to have triggered you though with being right once again about Jokic/Embiid.
