We need confirmation though that the current head coach of Iowa State is willing to take the Bulls job before I'll feel okay about letting "The Mayor" go.

I'm okay with nepotism. Anyone of Gar's friends from Iowa State or his father-in-law Dave Brown.

If he doesn't get the Duke job, Chris Collins will be the Bulls head coach at some point in the next 5 years.

"Any time your name is associated with a great job, it's an honor," Hoiberg said when reached late Wednesday. "But I'm coach of the Bulls and have no intention of leaving."

ok, the last update to this thread is well over a year ago and I didn't even see it on the 1st page, I don't think it was on the 2nd page. We can roll with this.

But for real. Fire him. There are no "pieces" that will eventually make Fred a good coach.

I think if you replaced Steve Kerr with Hoiberg there's a good chance GS wouldn't win the title. And I don't even know if Kerr is a good coach or not.

Mark Jackson coached the same group Steve Kerr did and the best he could do was a 6th seed in the West with a 1st round exit.

Yeah I'm with it. Can't fight the fight anymore. Team is too undisciplined. That is a reflection of the coach. Watched Dallas and S.A. play last night and you can see what the difference between elite and non elite coaches. Ball movement guys paying attention to detail on defense etc. You also can see little adjustments that the good ones (Pop, Carlisle, Doc) make. Pop loses his point for the year and simply moves Derozan over to handle point guard responsibilities. In this age of small ball and three point shooting Pop goes to back to the basics of playing elbow down/mid range jump shooting. He realizes that small ball means there isn't any rim protection and his two best players are really non 3 point shooting. Rather than simply forcing them to become that he plays to their strengths.

Can't vouch for him any longer. Done

It’s like he doesn’t even coach. If there’s some kind of plan I can’t figure it out.

The Bulls "plan" is the White Sox "plan". Fred is Happy Renteria.

Fred can sell his house in Chicago to the current coach of Iowa State.

Your contention that coaching doesn't matter in the NBA was one of the more ignorant sports thoughts ever uttered on the board. Hoiberg always sucked ass.

No fan of Doc's but I won't argue it. Brad Stevens is an elite coach. Pop is on an entirely different level than everyone else.

You are lyng about what i said but its not surprising since that is sort of what you do.

Saying that anything pertaining to "most ignorant on here" is A. An exaggzration. And B. Just plain stupid.

Until you can show me a coach that has won or contended for anything with mediocre talent then you really aren't saying shit.

As far as Hoiberg goes he might not be the best or one of the better coaches in the league but he is still missing (3 out of his top 8) guys right now.

Also you thinking Thibs is one of the top 3 coaches in the league (notice how you run from that shit now) is one of the most ignorant comments ever uttered on this board.

Seconded by the Alvin Gentry is the "worst coach in the league" bullshit. Doc too as i remember.

Do you really think you are the best judge of coaching talent because i sure don't.

Oh yeah he is trolling.

Nothing says winning Basketball like looking on the floor and seeing Arch, Blakeney, and Felicio on the court together at the same time.

This is what it has come to for the Bulls. Stacey King just stated that it is a good thing that Cameron Payne is available to go after rolling his ankle. Hard to disagree. Arch stinks.
