They were discussing him yesterday and the consensus seems to be he will be a very good Westbrook like player. I guess you never know until he plays with the big boys but that is true with most of them.

Even more intriguing.. if you’re the Bulls and you land the 1st pick do you go to the team right behind you and try to swap picks and select Morant and hold their next two years worth of lottery picks (no protections) in hopes that the team in question will suck out loud for the next season or two while the Bulls build with really high draft picks and get a potential star in Morant..?


I don’t see Zion on his own turning any of the bottom feeders around right away. It’s a risk, but it’s a league where you need multiple stars to win and aiming to draft high every year via a trade where you can keep adding top tier talent could be a short cut to building a team like that. FA’s don’t come here for whatever reason, so they gotta figure something out.

It wouldn’t be the wrong thing to do.. but I think the Bulls need much more than him to win. I also think Morant is a future star as well, so you may be maximizing value by attempting something like this.
